  • Valve's Voice Gets SILKy Smooth

Valve has just announced that their voice communication within Steam will begin using the SILK audio codec, the same used in Skype.

Valve today announced a Steam Client update to introduce the SILK voice codec, which is the same developed and used by Skype, makers of the world's most popular voice communication service. SILK provides a significant improvement to Steam's voice chat quality.

Now that the voice chat is near crystal clear, you can yell vulgarities and have them heard and understood by everyone*!

    * Assuming you aren't an 8 year old that nobody can normally understand anyway. And if you are, what are you doing swearing and playing violent games? Does your mother know what you're doing?!
