    Game Informer March Issue Leaked

Screenshots and a synapsis of the articles for the March 2011 issue of Game Informer is on the internet:

    <a href="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/gi1.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/thumb_gi1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

    <a href="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/gi2.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/thumb_gi2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

    <a href="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/gi3.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/thumb_gi3.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

    <a href="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/gi4.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/thumb_gi4.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

    <a href="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/gi5.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/thumb_gi5.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

As for the breakdown of the articles; The people that scanned in these pictures did NOT scan in the articles. With that said, there is no way to confirm any of these points made or the context they were made in.

    [spoil=Articel Points]
-Aiming for CY Q4 2011 release
-Concept for BF3 has been in the works for years, waiting on proper tech to seamlessly come together
-Frosbite 2.0 is the culmination of this tech, entirely re-written
-Lighting sounds neat, one "probe" contains more lighting information than an entire BFBC2 level.
-Level destruction is going to be "believable" but basically everything is destructible.
-Character animations powered by ANT, what EA Sports uses.
-AI characters and multiplayer characters have different animation sets
-No more "gliding" animations that look off, animation realism is a focus
-Captured their own war audios (bullets, tanks, helicopters, etc) at different distances to ensure realism
-Better audio cues for certain actions, more easily able to listen for threats
-Plan on better, more immediate post release content
    -More unlocks than BFBC2
-Dice trying to find a good balance between customization of your character and not having "pink rabbit hat(s)"
    -4 classes
    -Will talk about squads "later"
-Looking into a theater mode but can't talk about it
    -Will have co-op
-There will be a kill-cam but it can be turned off
-BF3's team is almost twice as big as the team for BFBC2
-They want the pacing of the single player mode to be balanced, with highs and lows. Makes the comparison to a song vs a guitar solo.
-Part of the single player mode takes place in Sulaymaniyah - Iraqi Kurdistan.
-"****" will be used often, so M rated for sure
-There will be an earthquake in a level. The destruction sounds very impressive. 7 story building collapses, looks very well done
-Significant narrative that goes with the SP mode
-More than one setting, you're not in the middle east for the whole game
    -PC version is lead version
-Why 64 players for PC only? No complains from the console crowd.
-No mod tools at release. Maybe none down the line either. Frosbite 2.0 is complex and mods tools would have to be dumbed down, so does Dice really want to put their time to that or would it be better spent elsewhere?
-Original story, not based on Bad Company at all.
    [/spoil]

One final note, a lot of these pictures and points could still change. There is a lot of time for items to be added or dropped. Battlefield 2142 changed a lot prior to its release as well.

Thanks to [FH2]azreal64 and Minmaster for posting this news up.

For crappy ass photographs of a magazine all I can say is that does NOT look like BC2 at all. Right now I'm just hoping it plays like a video game.

The game looks awesome especially the destruction and smoke in the 2nd pic. I really don't like that it only has 4 classes, to much COD influence there! im guessing Medics carry LMG's or prob mini-guns this time? I hope kill cam is off on 99% of all servers (this is BF not COD) I want to hear about command and squads, thats what gave BF a battlefield "feel" unlike most games like garbage COD.

If I'm not mistaken that means the game is being ported to console.

This game is hardcore modder playground.

Well that summary is probably just a summary and not the wording in the article... but if it were, using "F**k is used a lot, so M rated for sure" seems unprofessional. But that is just me trying to feel better about everything that I didnt like in that article I guess.

I think the 4 classes thing is probably unconfirmed... hopefully. At least go to the 2142 class system, that sounds good. I havent played it much except for a few goes at an internet cafe but from what i have heard and played, it seems like it works better than the "medic gets the LMG" system we have now.

Have you ever actually played a Call of Duty game? There are 5 default classes (at least in CoD4) and multiple customizable slots. So classes are essentially non-existent...

                  and BF2142 had 4 classes.... :|:

That is correct, game is built on and for the PC and then sized down to the consoles.

Mod tools are not going to ship with the game but they are open to doing them once they have the time and man hours.

By the sounds of things they are trying to do something about the fact that mod tools are difficult to make... whether this is good or bad will be seen

HUD is just a placeholder and is nowhere near final.

BF3 is a sequel of BF2 which had 7 classes thats all i really mean, it should have 7. last COD i bought was COD4 i'm not even sure how many "classes" it had, but if it's less than BF2 it's def being influenced by COD..which is generally what every FPS is doing these days.

I think the reason it has an MOH feel is because there displaying the desert maps, in which every game with desert released in the past 2 years looks the same lol I'd wait to see Paris or New York.
