Single Player Demo for Killzone 3 Arrives in February

A single player demo for Killzone 3 is expected to arrive this February, according to the latest offering from the PlayStation Blog.

The full game arrives on February 22, but the demo will be released on February 8 for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and on February 15 for everyone else. Best of all, it will make use of the PlayStation Move and 3D, if you have the hardware to support those features.

There will be two separate downloads available from the PlayStation Store: one in 2D and one in 3D. Both versions will take place on the “Icy Incursion” level. Don’t worry – downloading the 3D version and playing it on your 2D TV won’t break anything … you’ll just see a message saying “No 3D TV detected.” The 2D version has splitscreen coop as well, a feature not available in the 3D demo.

An open multiplayer event is also planned, but no firm details on that are known just yet. Until February rolls around, feel free to check out the complete list of weapons for Killzone 3.
