DC Universe Online Sells More on PS3

According to a Tweet from Sony Online Entertainment president, John Smedley, DC Universe Online on PS3 outsold the PC version.

People are asking what the PS3 / PC split is on sales. It's 52% PS3 and 48% PC.

He also remarked that it's their fastest selling game ever. A feat helped by the fact that this MMO is a rare breed of being a multi-platform title.

of course it outsolded in the ps3. consoles have no MMORPGS, pc has lots of mmorpgs. why consoles have no massive multiplayer online roleplaying games?!?!? BECAUSE THEY SUCK

I actually agree, in part, with jimykx. It seems that most people on PC who are the type to play an MMORPG already have invested time in WoW or one of the many others. Once someone gets attached to a game like that, starting over on a new one isn't easy. Not only that, but we've seen MMO's fail miserably in recent years.

Even the "freemium" Dungeon Runners was shut down.

Investing time and "gives a damn" into a time-sink like an MMORPG is "risky" when it could fold at any moment. Look at the poor bastards who paid for Lifetime Subscriptions for Hellgate. "Lifetime" turned out to be less than a year.
