Is an HD Remake of Metal Gear Solid Triology in the Works

According to the latest issue of UK's Official PlayStation Magazine, an HD remake of the first three Metal Gear Solid (Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) may be in the works for release on the PlayStation 3.

CVG explains a bit as to what the magazine has to say about the subject.

In the mag's new issue, in stores now, it reports that Snake is "in the facelift queue", and that the "first three" MGS games are set to be reborn in High Definition.

No details on pricing, release date, or anything else are known yet. Hopefully this does happen because I know there are more than a few MGS fans out there that will happily pick up the re-re-releases in their HD glory.

I would pick these games up again. I remember when they re-released the first MGS for the Gamecube, it looked awesome.

Same. I missed the entire PS2 generation thanks to my parents being very anti-videogame at the time, and trying to find a copy of the PS1 version of MGS1 is impossible, as is getting an emulator to work for it.
