Article: Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo Coming Soon

Crytek has revealed that a multiplayer demo for Crysis 2 will arrive on January 25! Ah, but it's only for the Xbox 360 version of the game. No demo has been announced for the PC or PS3 platforms.

A somewhat closed beta for the game has been underway for a while now. The full game is slated to arrive March 22 of this year for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms.

Looks like another developer has produced a garbage console port unworthy of purchase.

Not a whole lot of reasons to withhold a demo unless you know it will negatively impact sales to let people see how your game will really play.

Considering how much Crytek cried about piracy, they sure are going a long way towards ensuring that their next game is pirated.
Funny that piracy seemed to cripple their ability to hit over a million sales... Oh, wait.

Oh, it looks just great. But so did MW2. So did MoH. So did Airborne, for that matter. And Crysis Wars looked freaking awesome. But they weren't all that fun. And that's what it's really all about. Pure skill and pwnage? Only fun for a few people. BFBC2? Can be fun for damn near everyone, if they approach it in the right manner.

Given the right editing, even ARMA II looked like it would be great. Same with Frontlines: Fuel of War. Yet they were panned by... well everyone.

I'm sure I'll enjoy a few rounds of MP here and there, but we'll see. Crysis SP I couldn't get into. Crysis Warhead was fantastic, perhaps because it was so short and I could overlook its shortcomings.

So, on all fronts, I'm giving Crysis 2 a "we'll see" approach. (Yes, I also hated Far Cry)

I think the idea of the suit in game is very "Predator-ish" and i love that aspect. The abiliy to go invisible and pick off a team is a great form of stealth if done right.
