Gamers in North America can expect to have the device hit store shelves on March 27 at a price of $249.99 (USD). Gamers in Europe will get it two days earlier for £229.99.

The 3DS will be available in two colors at launch, Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black. It will also include a telescoping stylus and be backwards compatible with DS and DSi titles. 30 titles are promised between the launch and when E3 2011 rolls around.

It will also include the following:

-- Can use a photo of the player to make a better looking Mii
    - A log of what games are played
    - Pedometer
    - Included net browser
    - Virtual shop for GameBoy and GameBoy Color games
    - "Street Pass" will transfer Mii data between 3DS users, whether the console is on or not
    -- Can be disabled
    - "Spot Pass" allows the 3DS to download content and updates from Nintendo, even while asleep
-- Will have a notification light when an update is downloaded, similar to the Wii
