Earlier today during a special showing in Japan, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XIII-2 is currently in production.
Square Enix promises that this direct sequel to the 6 million unit seller will feature "the best aspects of Final Fantasy XIII. In particular, a brand new story and evolved battle system" highlight the sequel's current features.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released "next Winter" for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Details are even more scarce on the official XIII-2 website.
