World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the Fastest Selling PC Game of All Time

... OF ALL TIME! Yes, Blizzard revealed today that the latest expansion for World of Warcraft, Cataclysm, has sold a record breaking 3.3 million units in its first 24 hours of being on sale.

This record bests the previous record holder, which as you can already guess, was World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. Lich King sold 2.8 million units on its launch day back in 2008.

To compare, the launch day sales figures for StarCraft II were just over 1 million units.
