Crosshairs 21: The Honeymoon is Over

    From bashandslash.com

On this episode of CROSSHAIRS we take a look at the mood of the community and cover these pertinent topics:

Is the community saturated with CODBlackOps and are we tired of Bling?

Can Treyarch please turn on the VACuum?

Is the server browser tuned to force players to play Treyarch style?

Have we had enough of Perks and Killstreaks?
On our Gaming 101segment with Heycarnut we discuss the trend towards CPU intensive games

RO HOS and it's "In Country Mod"

    Homefront and it's PR

You want to go to the source and listen to the blog.

What are your thoughts on all this? These people are in various parts of the Call of Duty community and most seem to have had enough of Black Ops. Has there been too much CoD? Is the community ready to go back to a more basic game? Do you feel issues or features have caused this? Are gamers getting used to all this?

I have not played the game yet myself, though I do go to a lot of different forums and read the same complaints. Now that tends to be one sided as more people complain than praise in forums. Do you think that is still accurate though?

Btw: Episode 22 is up http://bashandslash.com/index.php?op...190&Itemid=133 (I only mention it because they interviewed Tripwire's John Gibson about Red Orchestra 2).

I personally love Black Ops. I think it's a ton better than the mess MW2 ended up being and even a step beyond MW1 in terms of the MP. They can easily slow down on the yearly releases, but then they lose out on tons of guaranteed sales because the community, mainly Xbox gamers, eat it up like nobody's business.

See, thats what many people say also is how much better it is than MW2. Well, I really liked MW2. It wasnt the best, but it was good. I dont know if people are starting to migrate away from it because its so much like MW2 that its nothing new. I know a lot are leaving it because of the issues also, but I know many are playing it with little to no problems as well.

Maybe its all the above, I dont know.

I play MW BO multiplayer now and again however I tend to agree with those that think that they have overloaded the game with gadgets, perks etc the series that said it can be fun, but i feel that the game can be made to run smoother than it does at the moment I loved MW used MW 2 dics to put my coffee cup on because of the no server issue MW BO is a little bit buggy for me to play it all the time as frustration would set in.
