Regarding default maps, I think they should start with two or three. They only started with one in WaW because they were going to test its success before making more. With Black Ops, they've had months to work on it, and they know it is successful, so hopefully we see more shipped with the game.

I still think there will be one map at release but will be complex like Der Riese, not simple like Nacht der Untoten.

Just noticed something else. At the very beginning, bottom center right TV has a chopper cockpit with napalm going through houses.

Maybe thats why it didnt register as the comments were related to editions that Treyarch mentioned would not be coming to PC. It doesnt matter now though as it seems that it will be coming.

Someone should be able to just import the WaW zombie maps into this one with some tweaking, I'd think. That's if Treyarch wants to charge us for them. I've already seen a bunch of MW2 maps in CoD4, and some re-imaginings that were better than the original IW versions.

Someone should be able to just import the WaW zombie maps into this one with some tweaking, I'd think.

With mod support I'm sure someone could just copy the old code and WALAH.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but with CoD1 and 2, all you had to do to convert a map to the other game was to open the file in CoD1 Radiant, change all the textures to something that was standard in both (typically caulk), save the file, open the file in CoD2 Radiant, and retexture everything. Easier said than done though, especially with elaborate maps, where there a minuscule texture segments they have to get. But since they are getting paid to do it and work on it all day for weeks, it should be no problem for them.

I'm not sure if the same thing applies to this game or not. I am sure it is a bit more complicated than that, maybe you have to edit some coding (I never did it personally), but amateur mappers did it pretty easily.

I think it is safe to assume so. They said PC gets all the same features as the console (nothing will be console exclusive). And it just wouldn't make sense for them to make zombies for the console versions only...

I saw the chopper also! That would be awesome to blow tons of zombies with that in the later levels!

Oh, and "official" zombie confirmations from JD_2020 and the CoD:BO Facebook...obviously, we didn't need them now, but they're official lol.

So as you can see, today is the official day Treyarch confirmed zombie modes. I agree with Kotaku that it was a worst kept secret.

If I get another gaming rig, I will most likely buy this game.

I really loved the COOP gameplay of Nazi Zombies in Call of Duty World at War. I found few things more enjoyable than bunching up in a corner with a few friends and fighting for our survival.
