F.E.A.R. 3 Announced; John Carpenter to Draft Cinematics

Warner Bros. has officially announced that production on F.E.A.R. 3 is underway. Monolith will not be manning the helm on this one, instead the game's production will rest in the hands of Fracture and the F.E.A.R. console port team from Day 1 Studios.

Point Man will return in the game's third outting. A co-op mode being introduced into the game will allow players to also play in the shoes of Paxton Fettel. The two will have "distinctly different abilities" that will change the player's style of gameplay and impact the other player during the course of the scenarios.

John Carpenter has been brought on to craft the in-game cinematics. Carpenter's previous works include The Thing, Halloween, Escape from New York, and more. Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) co-wrote the script with the developers at Day 1 Studios.

F.E.A.R. 3 promises a divergent co-op system, a better cover system, and "more scares." More information will be coming shortly.
