Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft fans should be changing their pants right now after reading just the headline. Blizzard has officially announced the details and dates for BlizzCon 2010! Taking place this October 22nd and 23rd in Anaheim, California, the fifth annual BlizzCon will reveal new details on the WoW expansion, Cataclysm, offer up new details on a new class reveal for Diablo III, and have playable versions of StarCraft II's single-player campaign.
New details will be revealed on ticket pricing and availability as the event nears. Keep an eye on the BlizzCon website for all of the latest!
"BlizzCon offers us a great opportunity to meet with our players and share our enthusiasm for gaming with one of the most passionate communities in the world," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. The previous BlizzCon was held in Anaheim in August 2009. Tickets to the event sold out in minutes, and some of the highlights included the announcement of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the unveiling of a new playable class in Diablo III, the first public hands-on with the single-player campaign of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, and a closing concert featuring rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
