We ave not "canceled" our support, we are just not offering streaming for BFBC2 at this time. It's still two months from launch and anything can happen.

We will 100% support the client.

Servers will be hosted by EA and DICE only no third party involvement (Clan/community servers) in the Beta. So even if PBans wanted to offer streaming, there would be nobody to set the servers up. Full release will be different.

          Eglaerinion:

Do you really want half arsed maps by people who do not know how to map anyways (especially gameplaywise)?
(which will not get updated for the new patches of the game if needed because creators abandoned them,
like alot of maps that got made for lets say Battlefield: Vietnam)

Or rather a professionaly made map which quality comes close to or even surpasses DICE maps and might even be worth to be included in a community map pack?
Do you really want all the original statics, vehicle and player models to just be reskinned or do you actually want a complete new model for each when loading a total conversion mod?

If you want total creation freedom you can not go with these "modding tools" anyways.

          And like i said before:
there was very little modding support for Battlefield in the past and we still have seen the most amazing mods created imho.
The game is still modable ...

Mate, you really need to be more opened minded about situations.
As Ique said, They are using a new engine which is new. These things take time.

              EDIT:

Several mods have higher quality content than the vanilla BF games. I'm not talking about custom maps even though several brilliant ones were made for every BF title released. Heck some mappers have been hired by Dice because of their skills.

The point I was making about mods extending the life of a game. It's not about he vanilla game not being good enough, it's about having a lot of extra content available. Removing modding support out of the box is a step backwards. But I guess it's typical of the consolification of gaming, dumbed down games, expensive games, expensive DLC etc.
