OnLive is One Step Closer to Reality

Good news OnLive hopefuls, the streaming distribution service is one step closer to actually being released! A 48-minute video presentation for OnLive, as given by CEO and Founder, Steve Perlman, shows how the service can stream Crysis to an iPhone, Mac, and console.

The video shows off some of the service's obstacles that must be overcome before the service is released to the public. Obstacles such as networking, data compression, and software are all discussed at length.

Far too much length. I don't suppose there is a written version of this somewhere? I cant stand to watch 50 minutes of a guy talking just to get 5 minutes worth of information.
The one thing I noticed before I gave up is that they consider 80 ms input latency acceptable. That sounds like a lot to me. Usually FPS games becomes unplayable around that, and they have various means to avoid input lag, since the game client is running locally

I guess it depends on the game you're playing. If it's online FPS then it will be important. If it's Trine, Torchlight or some racing games then it's probably not going to matter.
