And there many many more people who play vanilla bf2, so why would they cater to a smaller market? Not to mention that battlefield has never been about realism, especially the first bad company.

Smooth, did you want me to make a very mature, and realistic game that people of your superior age can play? I'll incorporate mortgage payments, car insurance payments, credit card debt, going to bed at 9pm after watching an episode of Two and a Half Men, taking care of the kids, arguments with the in-laws, and treating the wife to a romantic dinner once a month.

      How does that sound?

Just hope it isn't delayed on the PC, but I'm pretty much expecting it to be.

Speaking of delays, not a word on BF1943 for the PC for a long time now.

The answer lies in your own post, if you want realism, go play some Mods, thats what they are for, as someone from Dice once said, "We provide the game, the community provides the fun" not excactly the words, but the meaning still stands, so stop crying and do something about it if you want that realism so bad

Simply and respectfully not true jake, plenty of evidence for the 25-35 market out thier on PC,infact when pc started it was mainly a mature owner.Besides who said we cant enjoy a game inbetween our lifes duties

I know gamers n thier 40s that still want to get away from the wife:laugh:

please dont on the mature vs young rampage mate its not about that at alll to me,i thought ARMA was nice but maybe something in the middle of ARMA/BF2.something technically challenging to all ages:salute:

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said arcade games were better. I just said that any more realism than we already have doesn't necessarily equate to better enjoyment of the game. You eventually hit a sort of law of diminishing returns with realism in games. I'm not suggesting we suck all realism out of a game. Rather, I think a fine balance has been struck as it is (or at least one that appeals to the largest demographic).

Don't get me started on PR, people that play it try to role play to hard its like playing an MMORPG with a bunch of hardcore idiots, that think they are cool by pretending they are some sort of hero.

Ok, no game is truly "realistic", we all know that. What I want regarding realism in a game is firing over one's iron sights or through optics is ALWAYS more accurate than hip fire. Period. /end
