Aim down the sight for best accuracy is the way it should be. Do hope that the accuracy is better than BF2, guess we'll see. As far as the squad deathmatch, it is innovative. 4 teams of 4, not 8 vs 8, plus a vehicle to mix things up. What's not to like? I haven't seen that in any other fps title.

Re: Interview With Gordon Van Dyke on Gamespot

Theres a difference between zooming in for maximum accuracy and aiming to get ANY accuracy at all. The new phenom of guns never shooting straight unless iron sights are deployed is some kind of carp created for console junk play.

I must be corrupted from all the time spent modding and hosting PoE1 and Desert Combat to consider this good in any form or fashion. A perfectly balanced game of gazala with hordes of units to choose from, thats a game not this watered down garbage the new guys pretend is the next big thing. I was on the bandwagon but I just dropped off with this latest video and description.

I wont be buying this game, as most hardcore bf series gamers will not, its just a much weaker product then what we were brought up on. A few flashy graphics a game does not make.

The dudes even grasping at straws trying to explain one thing that makes it fun or original. Its just another reason to justify lower player counts. You can bet its going to be some non frontline, players spawning behind you cod style cluster****. Shot in the back from spawners left and right, thats what you can count on here.

I reserve judgement till I play it.

Don't you think Gordo's looking a bit tired?

How can you guys base your opinion about pc gameplay after watching just console gameplay? Hold your opinions back to the pc beta when you can actually tell.

First off, you can jump off the high horse for being in your 30's. It does not make your opinion any more valid than the next guy on here.

When did anyone ever say this game was aiming to be realistic? where? your accusing it of being something its not trying to be. Are you saying anyone who is 15-20 is mentally inferior to people in their 30's ?

The blood point, Im not bothered either way, but if they do put it in they have to class the game as 18+ (I think). This will give a slightly smaller window of sales, so it makes sense to take blood out, that has no real impact on gameplay at all, to allow the game to be a 15/16+

Stop jumping over a game none of us have played. Yes, it does look like a console game, and what do you expect? its predecessor was a only console game. This is not the next step in the battlefield series, its branching out. Like DICE has already done with BF:MC.

Yes and Yes. I agree completely

The realism argument is stupid. I won't go into again because the whiny b!tches will start complaining again. However, no game claims to be realistic and that's just stupid. If you want reality, join the military. It's a GAME not a simulation.

You can't judge the game because you've watched a few gameplay videos.

Also, this reminds me of how famous musicians like Bob Dylan would become famous for a certain set of songs or style. Then, when he would want to try a different genre or style, a lot of the fans booed him even in concerts. That's extremely moronic. They all expected him to keep playing the same sets of songs for the rest of his life. Well, guess what, video games are the same. They're going to keep changing and developing. If you want a game exactly like previous titles in the BF series, why don't you just keep playing them?

Why the heck do older people think they're good at video games. As a matter of fact its almost always the younger ones explaining how to play to the adults who can't even figure out how to move their player. Not only that but once you learn your reaction time and brain function will simply not to be as fast as someone in their late teens or early twenties, its fact.

People really need to quit complaining, the game will be fine, and you'll all play endless hours of it - regardless of how many times you say "I'm too hardcore!!" or "I'll never buy this console crap..."

Bad Company 2 is definitely more real than MW2 thats for sure. There is no way to argue against it.

Im not saying that 30y is better than 20 y old guy, Im saying that the taste is different. Its like when you are 20, you dont want 10 y old toys anymore. Do you know any shooter made directly for mature players? I dont. Theres only couple of mods worth of playing. The BC is for large audience, therefore they dont want to make it too complicated or realistic. I still hope that one day EA will make different game, for us, over 30 too.

About the video. I still think i can judge based on that. The 4 squads killing each other, it will be mess. There wont be any planning, or tactical approach. Theres 2 things you can do 1. sit ion the corner and wait until smb passes, then kill him. 2. run around like crazy monkey, shooting everybody. If its fun for you then OK, but its not for me. IRL you wont find situations like that, because IRL you would cooperate against the enemy, even if you dont like your partner. Thats why I donyt like it, but maybe its just me.

I still love EA games, because nobody has done better so far, but I hope smb will.

About me whining here: I criticize because I care. Ive played all the BF series and ALL the mods there is, so I hope I have right to give some feedback.

There aren't many games made for "mature" players because, sadly, the demographic is too small. I think that has something to do with the fact that most "mature" people don't tend to play video games like they were still kids.

How is that any different than any other gamemode in the BF series that we are already familiar with? Camping, run and gunning, etc. They all work in regular BF games too.

I'm getting really fed up with all this "realism" bullsh!t people are throwing around in forums these days. If you REALLY wanted to play a realistic game it would be one where, once you bought the game, your soldier would get ONE SINGLE LIFE. Once he dies, that's it, game over, no more BF for you. This would be because, after all, you don't get to respawn once you die in real life. I could elaborate to no end with such absurdities, all stemming from your assumption that realism makes a game better for "mature" players yourself (this is often referred to as "reductio ad absurdum" although that is a bit of a misnomer).

Realism never directly has to equate to the enjoyment of a game. Some of the most enjoyable games I have played are far from realistic: Team Fortress 2, Portal, BioShock, Legend of Zelda series, and Battlefield 2142.

So if you want realism, go join the military instead of sitting on you *ss talking about how video games need to be more like reality.

edit: Being older than the majority of regular posters on this forum, does not entitle you to ride upon a high horse, either.

Actually Ive been in military, thats why I like realism. The most popular mods for BF 2 are Project Reality and Forgotten Hope, both trying to be more realistic than original BF, so there are many ppl who like it.
