if you people ain't gonna buy, then why are you guys all hanging out here for? isn't it kind of a torture to come here and read about people having fun with the game?

I thought MW2 tried to stop that, wasn't that the whole reason for IW net?

Some people (me included) still have hope for the future of the CoD franchise, even on future titles from IW. Perhaps they will take this ****storm and change their ways in the future.

Don't take my comments as me hating the game. If I hated the game I just wouldn't play. What causes all of the frustration is the fact that when everything works the way it should, and everyone in the room has four bars and thus a ping under 100ms, the game is freaking awesome. It's addicting as all hell. You get all kinds of attachments for guns and perk leveling and everything. Then there are all of the little titles you get for different things in the game.

Hell, I've logged about 15 hours in the game since 0001 of the 10th when it finally let me install it. I wouldn't care this much if the game was just lame altogether.

I told Crunch a while back that despite my reservations, I was still getting the game due to the fact that I won it in a WaW competition. I still hope this game turns out to be everything it should have been from the start. Pretty much all of the code is there to implement dedicated servers. It's all copy-pasta from MW. So hoping that everything gets fixed isn't a huge stretch.

Exactly. I am still hoping that this turns around. I don't much think that it will with this title, but perhaps the next.

Who the hell are you trying to judge others?

As far as i can see this is not modernwarfare2.com
but is a subsite provided by the Totalgaming network, based around the "Call of Duty" franchise, and looking at the fact ModernWarfare2 is only 1 out of 5 full PC releases, we have every right to be here.
So thanks for beeing a ****.

I'm not boycotting, but i also will not buy the game in it's current state.
There are more titels to come that i know i will be enjoying a hell of a lot more anyways and i have been playing Cod 4 and WaW more then enough for my taste. (still having alot of fun on Zombie maps and Zombx mod when needing a quick change of pace)

Do you even know what a boycott is?

                    Boycott:

                    boy⋅cott
/ˈbɔɪkɒt/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [boi-kot] Show IPA
                    Use Boycott in a Sentence
                    See web results for Boycott
                    See images of Boycott
                    –verb (used with object)
                    1. to combine in abstaining from, or preventing dealings with, as a means of intimidation or coercion: to boycott a store.
                    2. to abstain from buying or using: to boycott foreign products.
                    –noun
                    3. the practice of boycotting.
                    4. an instance of boycotting.
                    Origin:
after Charles C. Boycott (1832–97), English estate manager in Ireland, against whom nonviolent coercive tactics were used in 1880

                    Related forms:
                    boy⋅cott⋅er, noun

Boycotting a product you bought is called hypocrisy or ignorance, depending on the case. What you might be looking for is a petition. That's a different thing entirely.

That said, companies like Activision don't listen to boycotts, petitions, forums posts, podcasts or emails. They listen to money. And as long as money keeps going in their pockets, they couldn't care less the entire world signs petitions or boycotts against them.

The main online petition does not mention boycotting the game, just for Activision/IW to reconsider dedicated servers.

I dont think Min was judging anyone but asking why are people that are boycotting going to CoD forums when they dont have the game.

By the way, I am boycotting any version, because it seems like a waste of money to me. I might buy it if was 5 bucks or less, but other than that, no sale and I am planning on not buying any other IW products unless they drastically improve and change their attitude.
Apparently people don't read threads. :S Society has flawed logic. That's all I was trying to say with my hypothetical "If I...." I mean, I even said I would be a hypocrite at the end if I bought it and still joined the boycotts. Seriously, what don't people understand from what I said? :p

I never wanted to buy this game for many reasons. I doubt I'll get it but these are the reasons holding me back.

                              - Story line (Looks epic but fighting in America is just a touchy subject for me)
                              - Weapons
                              - Perks
                              - Game play
                              - Weapon handling
                              - Kill streaks (So for every kill you get one? hmmm)
                              - Servers

Mostly the fact IW openly said they do not wish to make computer games, they've always been more in favor to consoles and now they've got their shiny console game.

Tbh the kill streaks are very balanced. For a start you can only get 3 of them as thats how may you can "carry" in your loadout although you still have to achieve them. The game play is great and imo better than CoD4, as are the perks, most of them being a lot more useful.
