I took back grand theft auto IV[$49.99] for modern warfare 2[$59.99][Thank you wall mart]
So i took back one console port for another.
Oh well this way i will get to see all the faults for my self
So i guess i payed $20.00 for it
grand theft auto IV did not get played.
Humm L4D2
I did all of this out of fun and wall mart went along with it.
Could care if they let me or not:)
As a FPS enthusiast from wolfenstein 3d I had to see cod mw2 for my self
My friend got some retarded deal. Basically, it was either Game or some other high street retailer was advertising that if you trade in certain games, you get £10 for them which could be used against ordering MW2.
Play were selling one of those games for £4.99 as a special deal. So he ordered 2 copies from Play for £9.98, traded them in and got £20 off MW2. Major lulz.
That picture is misleading. It only captures the first page of 51 people while there are more than 800 people in that group.
If those other 750 didn't buy it, the boycott still stands.
Well, since we can look this group up and view it, everyone should look for themselves. Something tells me though that out of this one page, its not the only one like it.

I wonder how many of these players torrented the game and how many bought it?
There are multiple ways to play this game and I can think of one way that doesn't involve paying money.
Refusing to give IW money while still pirating may not meet the dictionary definition of a boycott, but it is still as close to a boycott as you're going to get and it is definitely the boycott envisioned by PC gamers who vowed to participate. In short, that screenshot means nothing except that those people probably pirated the game as revenge against IW.
IW/Activision ruined the PC version to try to gain more control and prevent piracy so it's only natural that people who would have been customers will balk at this suggestion and pirate the hell out of this game. It's happened so many times across so many different formats and this is no exception.
I also predict that disgruntled PC gamers will a) break the protection preventing them from playing online in ranked matches and b) hack and grief the hell out of those that are trying to enjoy themselves since you can't kick or ban anyone in ranked play. Time will tell.

So the heroic boycotters are pirates and griefers? I am sure they will be a big loss to the COD community.
If you said you were boycotting the game and bought it or won it and are playing it, you are a hypocrite.
If you said you were boycotting the game and you stole it and play it, you are a thief and a hypocrite.
Thats it. Make all the loopholes you want for whomever. You are what you are.
At least some have the decency to remove their names from boycott lists and/or explain why they came to the conclusion they did. Nothing wrong with a change of heart or mind, but trumping around crying boycott while you still play the game is wrong.
That is hilarious.
And they dont seem to like that kind of attention:
nnouncements _People seen playing MW2 in this group will be removed

people that are in this group and bought MW2 will be kicked.
this group is for people that choosed not to buy MW2, if you joined this group THEN bought the game you are a hypocrite and a disgrace to this group.
Information that was given from 402 on a webcast bashandslash about no dedicated servers for MW2 stabbed the PC community in its back. Making a game that is expected to be better than Modern Warfare 1 with listed servers (matchmaking) is an outrages. This steam community is a petition for those who are: 1. against the idea of IWNET (matchmaking / list servers) (no dedicated servers) 2. against no mod tools 3. No clan play support As a member, we vow to not Support IW (by buying MW2 for any platform.
