Option for 64 player would be better, then the server admins can decide what they want to set the player level at.

More choice and more customisation is better. (Someone tell it to IW!)

theres a strong reason why there isnt more then 32 players, simply technical restrictions. theres advanced physics destruction goin on at the same time, though find 32 players good for bc2 but for 43 not very so

At this stage I'm content with 32 players as they obviously won't put any effort into scaling the maps beyond that.

Realistically BF1943 isn't the BF1942 successor we hoped for, it's minimalistic and closed from the modding community. Expectations of more players/variety were somewhat misguided considering the nature of the game.

Not that it wasn't disappointing when I first read the details, I mainly just don't care anymore.

I agree. If you're a long time fan of the BF series, you want 64 players or more. Especially if you're in to the competitive tournaments. Nothing short of 64 players will work.

But don't forget, everyone likes <9v9 better so they don't mind having player limits lowered, even though, for some reason, they fail to realise that they can still play <9v9 even if the limit was 100000000000000v100000000000000000

... Or not? It's all very subjective really.

And I know what you mean by competitive tournaments, but most BF2 leagues were played 5v5 infantry only, or 8v8 vehicles.

I'm a long time fan of the BF series and I don't really want 64 players. I do for BF3, but not BC2, I think this'll be a different beast.

I always played BF2 with 30 or less players, vehicles or not. It involves more tactics then just spray and pray nade fest.

64 wont work on thier maps,I think alot of pc users would only want a full version of 1943.I for one would welcome a full version:thumbsup:

Its more a flash game designed to tease consoles owners into getting a PC hehe:p

hey it does look like fun but its far too small, will i look into it?maybe. Would i play it for a long time?NO

I'm talking about the army on army tournaments like BF2Combat and 21CW.

To me 30- 40 players with or without vehicles is good. I mean it's fun sometimes to play with 64 players, but it gets too unorganized and not as fun. We still don't know if BC2 will have 32 players for PC, this is all assumption. However for 1943, it's official obviously. I'm having doubts that BC2 will have 32 players because the graphics, destruction, all have been improved. I really hope it's at least 32 players.

while I am pro high player counts, I do see that higher player counts leaves less room for lower ones. You see, public dedicated server providers would automatically go for the larger servers, and many people, myself included (not all), dont want to join a clan for many reasons. even if you join a lower population server, after a while more and more would join in and it would get frustrating having to leave the server alot.
