That is exactly the right way to go about it. Allow dedicated servers, but also add a "hassle free" matchmaking system, it would actually give the community something they want, and would still allow them to experiment with IW.net.

Hey is it true that it's actually only 9v9 in one game mode (ground war) and 6v6 in the rest? That would suck even more. :p

The hell with IWnet and their 9v9 failed MP. They can take this game and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I'm and old school gamer and I will never be forced to play like a console player. I would quit gaming altogether first! 402 is on crack if he thinks that the PC community will ever like IWnet. Man I am so pissed off at IW and Activision it's not funny. Thank god for Battlefield, guess it's time for the COD series to die and let BF take the center stage again.

You know i m saving my jugdment for later. What if it s rly going to work fine ? Most of the MMO RPG like WOW dont have dedicated servers aswell and milions of ppl can play just fine.

So i m thinking they made similar network or something. And al those YOU MUST DO THIS, YOU MUST INCLUDE THIS have to stop at some point imo. It s a buisness after all that they are running. If a car company comes out whit a car that costs 10 0000 $ ppl cant go and sigh petentions asking to lower the price of the car. Because ppl olways have suported the company and because it has such a status because of them.

So what i m trying to say is if you not going to buy the game fine dont buy it it s not the end of the world.

LOL, MMORPG's have to have dedicated servers, if they dont how do you think they can get 10000 per server, its just the dedicated servers are run by the game company's instead of people renting them.

So you haven't been paying attention at all?

WoW DOES have dedicated servers. Banks and banks of them. Blizzard owns and maintains them. They have full-time staff that monitor everything and make sure problems are corrected.

This IWNet crap is the total opposite. It's just an automated search engine. You click play and it does a search and connects you to a game it thinks is what you're trying to find. All of the actual games being played are hosted on client machines, not dedicated boxes with powerful processors, huge amounts of RAM, and fat business-class internet pipes. There are also no administrators, so glitchers and cheaters have nothing to fear if they can get past VAC. And that doesn't seem to be a huge problem for some of these groups.

Cancelled my pre order a few days ago. IW can go f**k themselves sideways with a rusty spade.

I'll borrow it from a friend, play the SP and then delete it. They will only get my money if they improve upon COD4 and this piece of s**t is 100 steps backwards.

Treat us like console gamers. Pah...

                        402 is a penis.

However, I think I can safely say the PC wants to voice its opinion and people are not going to just sit there and do nothing when they can make their voice heard to the game devs.

Another thing, games such as Company Of Heroes(RTS) that use P2P from what I have seen and experienced often end in a lot of problems of connectivity, simply as ports have to be open and that its going to be even harder for a 'casual' gamer to do.

Just look at the trouble people still have trying to play Nazi Zombies.
If people can't figure out a server browser, they're going to be screwed figuring out how to properly host games. And if these hypothetical morons can't figure out a server browser, forget about multiple people in the same house actually being able to play together in the same match. NAT's a mofo if you're too stupid to be able to read a list.
