After over 170,000 disgruntled gamers signed an online petition demanding the return of dedicated servers, Four Zero Two has finally released an official response in an attempt to calm players around the world. In the video, he mentions that while Infinity Ward recognizes the PC community's feelings toward the removal of dedicated server support, the dev team will continue to support IW.net (Infinity Ward's new console-like P2P matchmaking system) and believes that it will provide users with a much easier, more hassle free online experience.

Four Zero Two emphasizes that IW.net will simplify the casual online gaming experience, although he never mentions what specific advantages it provides over the tried and true dedicated servers. Finally, he adds that players should not criticize the system until they actually try it, and that many complaints received don't actually relate specifically to IW.net. Whether the community agrees with him is a completely different story, but from 402's reply it looks like the PC community may be waiting quite some time before they receive what they actually asked for in the game.
