Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Updated

An update is now available for the Left 4 Dead 2 early access demo.
    Left 4 Dead 2:
    • Fixed bug that caused dedicated servers to become unjoinable over time without a restart or heartbeat update
    • Fixed exploit that allowed players to end a campaign and return to the lobby without a vote
    • Public players are no longer matched to lobbies that are idle for a prolonged period of time. These lobbies become "Friends-only" lobbies
    • LAN servers list will now show listen server single player games as not joinable and will show game type as "single player" too

    Linux changes:
    • srcds_run now supports two new options -nodefaultmap and -steamverify
-nodefaultmap will suppress this behavior in case you have specified a map in a config file
-steamverify will add -verify_all to the steam command line option when using -autoupdate
    • srcds_run will now automatically add the +map option to the command line unless +map is specified
The update will be automatically applied the next time Steam is running.

Those seem like some serious bugs. Is that normal or is it no big deal?

It's both normal and not a big deal. Bugs are always cropping up and thus the need for updates was born.
