After several delays, the PC Left 4 Dead Demo for those that have pre-ordered the game is now live. Restart Steam to decrypt and play.

Public demo comes out next week...


It's pretty sweet, all the new weapons are great... I boomer biled a tank, machete'd a charger, frying pan'd a jockey, magnum'd a hunter jumping towards me, startled the walking witch... and more

The new special infected are cool... The spitter, charger, jockey, female boomer, smoker with new model, tank, hunter...

The demo however is pretty short, it's only 2 parts of a map... but it allows you to get used to how the new weapons are since they've tweaked the old ones a little, new models on most of the old guns, the fov is also a little low, not sure if you can change this in the demo, but you'll get used to it...

Can't wait till the full version is released though :)

Left 4 Dead's Demo was only 2 levels as well. I expected this one to be as well. I wasn't sure I should pay that much for what many tagged as an expansion, but I think I'll more than get my $$'s worth on it, no problem.

Its super lagtastic for me. No other games are doing that for me but this demo freezes up constantly.

Im crying the demo is *** for Aussies the censoring is over done they even freakin make the bodies disappear and removed the Uncommon Infected(riot cops) WTF! oh how I wish I had the US version this is sh!t

I've noticed it to, is it whenever the spitter spits or you shoot a weapon? Because its something to do with graphics. From what i've seen your not the only one, since i also have gotten bad lag, but on some L4D2 forums people have been complaining, don't suspect a small demo patch to be released by the weekend

I dont rly get it why they give the demo to ppl that already bought the damn thing ? isnt the hole purpose of a demo to atrackt ppl that dint have bought it ?.

True and the demo is released to the public on 4th November so it's a win/win for Valve.
