thats a good way to show that PC gamers still exist. Thanks DICE. And thanks to the cake-bringers for reminding them that we still care.

No, its the forgetfullness, and rapidly I might add, on this community.

Its me remembering all the people here complaining about how long it takes to get a patch.

Its me remembering how everyone was so mad about bc1 being console only.

Its me remembering everyone being upset about heros and wanting BF3.

Its me remembering how they shrank the server size in bc2.

Of course, its also me remembering Jason West telling PST Joker the dedicated files were being worked on but may be late. Also me remembering 402 stating PC gaming was going to stay the same.

I wont say anymore about this stuff. This is it, my last post about you all forgeting all this and how even the Battlefield stuff is heading toward console size and design. They can say anything, but things change somewhere down the road.

You all should believe it when you see it, is what I am saying. I commend DICE for saying there will be dedicated servers. I will reward them with money when they do it.

                  Re: DICE Takes The Cake

In light of the no dedicated server news from IW, they are gambling by rolling the DICE on the COD:2 community. This is creating a BATTLEFIELD in which InfintyWard is bound to lose on. They are becoming a BADCOMPANY, TWO. I here other developers will have dedicated server support. HOORAA

It seems as if Crunch and I are the only ones who still remember things from 6 months back. Like Dronetec said, an amusingly high ammount of excitement for something like dedicated servers. Next time Im not going to be surprised when BF fans will go apesh!t over multiplayer.

The cake gesture was great, cool, of course, but I would have been impressed more if IW didnt let PC community down and received cases of beer for their brilliance in COD4 and COD6. Because they, up until this point, deserved only praise, whereas DICE is not getting cake for doing something amazing, but for their closest competitor doing something awful.

                            Let's be honest:

All in all, this is DICE exploiting something that was already planned. BC2 was probably planned with dedicated servers since the beginning. They are just exploiting a feature that only one other company has now decided to omit.

                              heh

Seems a little childish to jump on the 'mistakes' of other developers. Sure, produce a better game that delivers on all your pre-release promises, that isn't a bug filled piece of crap that requires 4 patches to get it working. Once you've done that, then sling the **** - but to do it before your game is even released, and proclaim yourselves to be 'loyal to the PC' is utter tosh (especially when all your doing is promising something that should already be in a PC release). Hell, what's next? DICE announcing keyboard and mouse support?

Want to satisfy PC players? Don't give us a watered down version of a Battlefield game. Don't limit the players to console limits, and don't make it so dumbed down that it takes zero skill to do anything - and give us back our ammo, medics and classes.

Also, best not to include on the back of the box things that you've cut from the game...
