Since MS and Sony take around $10-12 from each console sale, and everything going into the retail side takes about $10-12, then you have marketing and development... The publisher's end up making about $9 profit on each console game sold at $60. When they sell the game for $60 on PC, that jacks the profit up to $19-21 per PC game sold. That makes each PC copy they sell worth TWO of the console copies when it comes down to profit.
So why screw us over? What goal could they possibly have? Follow the money? If you look at it from the profit standpoint, PC game sales can mean a LOT if they actually move merchandise. But if they fling poo and mock us, that's lost profits and all of that.
So again, what is the motivation here?
