When I mention the name Road Rash the first thing that should jump into your mind is countless hours spent playing the series on the Sega Genesis way back when. If you're aching for a current gen version of Road Rash, it's good news/bad news time.
First off the bad news: The Road Rash series has been stuck in limbo for years now with the last original release coming out a decade ago on the original PlayStation. Since then only one title was released and that was a DS port of the 1999 title, Road Rash: Jailbreak. EA owns the rights to the Road Rash series and has not uttered a peep about the game in quite some time.
But here's the good news, depending on how you look at things. Be it fan made or internally released, a new bit of concept footage was just released through YouTube. It's good that there might be a sliver of hope for a current gen Road Rash, but it's also bad if it's discovered this isn't real or was part of a project that will never see the light of day.
For the optimists out there, let's keep those fingers crossed that the series will once again see the light of day!
