If the console games got pushed back to, you would be right.
But they are not pushed back. So it clearly is a big deal to delay the one that gives the least revenue and will take sales from the consoles when released.

How many multiplatform games has been released on the PC first?
Just look at the PC-version of BF1943....oh thats right, you cant. Because Dice still haven't made it for the PC!. They dont even have a release date for it. But BF:BC2 have a release date, atleast for the console versions.

And you know what, it will probably get pushed back. If you guys want a list of games that was pushed back for PC but not for console, you can easily do it just by looking through the news sections on this site.

Even though its a port, I am sure its not a copy/paste and the game is set for PC. They do testing and find problems. Is it delayed because they decided to do it last? I dont know. Is it delayed because they focused on Xbox? I dont know. Is it delayed? I dont know, officially. Do you know? No.

Its like the DLC. Most think it exists right now and IW doesnt want to give it up. Does it mean it exists? Probably not. Does it matter? No. Until someone hax IW and steals the DLC from the secret server, we will never know.

I doubt it has crashed due to traffic but it's possible. Hopefully it got shut down for releasing false information.

First a price hike then no special editions and then a delay. What's next? Reduce the actual amount of content in the game. Maybe go so far as to cancel the game???

I know its not what we want to hear and we all want a new HUGE FPS game and we all know CoD will be that, but if the game has some type of huge flaw or lacking server files, then its going to die a slow sad death.

Better to be late and last a long time than on time and the next FFOW demise.

I'd rather wait and have a better game than them rush it and leave holes that need patching later.

If i'm paying more, i expect more from the game. So they deliver or i die.

As for piracy, they already make more than they project anyways, every year they release a game.

@ the actual story, if it is true like RKO said, If I was going to buy the game I would rather them wait a few weeks and fix possible bugs rather than release it and be subject to constant patching/glitches rampant upon release.

Are you serious?
A: They've had two years to work on it, why is it coming down to the last two weeks in the first place?
B: Even if the delay is about fixing something, do you really think two weeks are going to matter? As soon as it hits shelves and >1 million people all slam the servers/maps at once, a buttload of bugs will be found. It happens every time. That's why I was surprised at their attitude towards a beta. If you want weaknesses exposed in software, let masses of people poke at it.

The game will have constant glitching/bugs/patches even if they wait until Nov 2010 for release. It's just the nature of the beast. Expecting anything else is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

you know, this priacy bull **** reminds me of the music indistrty and bands bitching about people downloading their music.

there's no stopping it. but finding a better way to get their products out and just trust your community, and the game will sell.

there was a video interview of gabe newell (Valve) talking about steam and game priacy and he stated hes not worried about it. he shouldn't steam is doing so damn well, its not even funny.

they know for a fact that this game will sell. just put the game out there. there not going to stop priacy.

im getting really sick of this **** with companies holding back a product on a certain platform. if they are going to do this. they should either figure a way out to release the pc verison the same day every other version of the game comes out, or hold back the console version till the pc version is really.



this pisses me off to no return. you dont see ****en companies relesing a brand new movie that did well in theaters. Transformers (some liked it some didn't) but still did well. when it's released on dvd and blu ray. when do they come out. THE SAME ****EN DAY. they don't delay the blu ray release but release the dvd version, or vise-verse

im sorry for the rant but i really think there needs to be a rule for the gaming industry that if they are to release a game, the same time as every other version. im sick of these games being relesed 1, 2, 4 months or even a year after the damn game was released on xbox and ps3. Burnout paradise and GTA 4 is a good example. GTA on pc just ****en sucked. but that dosen't matter. the point is that after a year of a game that was a BIG hit on consoles. people that don't have a 360 or ps3 but have a pc probably played the game at their friends house or whatnot and once its out on pc. no one probably bought it. and sales suffer being thats a year old.

as for myself buying this game. finding out this information makes me want to pirate it even more. i have money saved for this game. but there are other games i want. Left 4 dead 2. new sims 3 expansion. ill probably go out and buy these games and just download call of duty.

i think one reason people are getting some heartburn over this is the arrogance from activision/iw this whole time:

Raising the price compared to other games.
Pointing out that no demo/beta is needed. They'll sell just fine with the hype they've got already.
Snubbing the pc market with the collector's editions.
Complete lack of information on the pc version, as if we wouldn't notice.

If you're going to run around tooting your own horn, be prepared to catch hell when you screw up like this. Plenty of games have been released on pc later than on consoles. But they haven't charged more for the privilege! :rawr
