The logical place to look to see if the date has change is to check there site and to wait for them to post a OFFICAL STATEMENT.

I think ill wait to call my boss to take that day off . i dont want to jump gun because some person has nothing else better to do but to start lies.

Are you serious?
A: They've had two years to work on it, why is it coming down to the last two weeks in the first place?
B: Even if the delay is about fixing something, do you really think two weeks are going to matter? As soon as it hits shelves and >1 million people all slam the servers/maps at once, a buttload of bugs will be found. It happens every time. That's why I was surprised at their attitude towards a beta. If you want weaknesses exposed in software, let masses of people poke at it.

The game will have constant glitching/bugs/patches even if they wait until Nov 2010 for release. It's just the nature of the beast. Expecting anything else is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

To my knowledge it was going through MS certification and being testing extensively on live. Obviously its not going to be a bug-free release, far from it as its the first, but delaying to possibly fix game breaking bugs imo is worth the wait rather than sit there on release day where you cannot play the game properly.

To be honest, if they delay, you sit here and complain, if they release you would be straight up here complaining that they are too incompetent to fix bugs before release.

It just gets boring people complaining when they have no idea what is actually going on but I guess its cool to hate here so ill just join in

i understand what you are saying and agree, but do you see games coming out on pc but the 360 and/or ps3 version is pushed back a few weeks? no

they gave us a date, if the game is not coming out on that date, so be it. but don't release the same game on a different platform while the other platform release will be later, plain and simple

BUT that bug wont take 2 + weeks to fix. recall when cod4 came out and the sniper scope was all ****ed up. fixed it in a few days.


to help find an answer if this rumor is true or not, ill go to my local game store where i live. its not gamestop its a guy that started his own game store being that the nearest gamestop/gamecrazy is 50+ miles away. ill ask him to go to his distributors website and see what he has as the release date for it.

I'm just ignoring what that guy says. He mentioned Live and MS certification. He's obviously referring to the Xbox 360 version, which has not been delayed. So he's in the wrong thread. Jumping into a conversation without even knowing the topic is pretty dumb...:shakehead:

But you can't replace Live and MS Certification with Punkbuster or account servers. There is proof they've been playing the Xbox 360 version on Live. There is no proof a PC version even exists. They have released no videos or screen shots that show a PC version of the game.
That's one of the main reasons people were so ready to believe this when it broke as an unfounded rumor.
What do you even care if you're playing on a toybox anyway? This doesn't have any effect on you.

On Topic- You know what irks me is that this is now day 2 of this "rumor" and IW/Activision/402 has not said anything. I know they cant spend all their time on every rumor and that would be crazy, but this is not just any rumor or small talk. If you have to delay it, you have to, but say something within 24 hours maybe?

From my understanding Console games are made on the PC to begin with.... Unless theres a XBOX 360 With DEV. Tools on there to make a game. I think this might be false. I mean Hey did Infinity Award go ahead and call everyone store and tell them the time had change ? i mean theres no Offical Word yet and now stores are starting to change there dates ?

The only way i could i could see this being delay would have to be the multiplayer side of it because they know us PC Gamers, we dont fall for such stupid lobbies and crap.(Well
L4D can be expection because theres only 4-8 players in the a server :laugh:)
I hope im right that this a rumor and not offical.
