Yeah I have been using EA store for two years and I have not had a single problem with it. All my games from 2007 are still on the downloader. Go ahead BIFF there is nothing wrong with the EA store. The only reason people complain is that they do not read the instructions on how to download.

I think there's a time limit for download. After which, you have to pay an extra fee to be able to download the game you bought beyond that point (might have been scrapped since last I used it)

I also believe EA downloader games come with that 3/5 activation crap (might only be certain games)

However, I just like everything in one of two places. Steam or my shelves.

No thanx. If i wanted a dumbed down game ill buy a console.

I hope BFBC2 online is pretty close to the real battlefield games because it seems to be the only thing kinda worthy of being a BF2 replacement until BF3. if not then its back to BF2 and waiting for a real BF game.

extra fee for something already paid?

so much for buying the game on EA store...

i'll definitely wait for the steam version, thanks for the heads up.

It was that way before at least (back when it was EA Download Manager), they might have changed it but it left a bad taste regardless.

I too, have games that are still on there anyways. Besides I have them all backed up so that wont matter!

I have used both Steam and EA for games, I don't care much for Steam, reason being(From experience with an unnamed game) that it takes extra time for the patch to pass Steam's internal test.

No there is no fee with EA store. I don't see why you guys are having problems with this. Here is an example: I bought BF2 AF and EU boosters in 2007. I deleted the game and bought a new computer a year later. In 2009 I installed the download manager and voila! the games were still there. I reinstalled them on my new computer with no hassle or fee. Once again I stress that this happened over a period of two years and the game still remained in my inventory. No problems reinstalling again on different computer.

ah cool, if there is no fee its ok then, i'll try it out when the game actually comes out, its still a long way i guess

i used EADM once to get Northern Strike 2142 and i never used it again. but i heard all these nightmare stories about having to pay again if you want it after you reinstall your windows or something. i luckily saved my NS download and backed it up, but i remember EA left a bad taste in people's mouths with the whole fiasco. so i would try to avoid using their download service if there are alternatives.

I'll hold off and see if it becomes available on Steam.
