A handful of games were just released that may have slipped under your radar. Don't worry though, we have you covered!
• Rockstar's Beaterator is now available on a retail shelf near you! The PSP exclusive title is a "professional-level, portable studio that guides users through the process of constructing beats and songs with thousands of loops and sounds made by both Timbaland and Rockstar. Jam in Live Play mode with genre-specific templates, or jump into Song Crafter to compose original drum beats, melodies, and even record vocals. No matter the skill level, Beaterator puts the power to make studio-quality music at peoples’ fingertips in a format that's portable, accessible and fun."
• Activision also just released Rapala: We Fish for the Nintendo Wii. As the "first fishing title developed specifically for Wii" the game is sure to entice the inner fisherman in all of us. Players can travel to eight world locations and can compete in 24 different tournaments. The game features arcade style gameplay allowing friends to play "bumper boats" that use power-ups and speed boosts to "try and knock the fish out of your (friends') boats before you get to the safe harbor." Offering "pick up and play" game mechanics, Rapala: We Fish is just $39.99 and comes bundled with a fishing rod peripheral.
• Obscure: The Aftermath, by Playlogic Entertainment was also just released through retail outlets and soon to arrive on the PlayStation Network. Obscure: The Aftermath is an "action-packed title that features an onslaught of gruesome imagery, an awesome hair-raising soundtrack and a 2-player co-op gameplay mode where players can work together to solve puzzles, combat hideous monsters and enjoy a wide variety of deadly weapons all at their disposal for violent experimentation." The game retails for just $29.99 and is available for the PSP.
