L4D2 Demo Confirmed for 29th October

For those people who have pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 will be available to play the demo of the game from the 29th of October.

The demo will be available to everyone who has pre-ordered the game on PC and XBox 360. We still do not know whether the demo will be made publicly available but it is thought that it will be available a week or so before the main release.

For those that have chosen not to pre-order Left 4 Dead 2, Total Valve will keep you informed as to when the demo will be publicly available.

What's the point in demoing it for those who, technically already purchased it? I rarely buy a game I haven't played before.....
Surely they should release a public demo so more people will enjoy it and buy it...
      Odd....

I agree the first thing that game devs do is giving ppl a demo to play but it seems to be a difrend story whit L4D series. The first L4D dint had a demo aswell, well they had but very short one if i can remember. In my opion this is a bad way to sell a game :dead:

Yeah, I wasn't going to buy COD:4, but I decided to try the Demo and I loved playing the little short demo. I am very much still playing COD:4.

Hey guys, there are two phases to the demo period. Oct 29th for pre-purchasers to get an early jump on the game they already bought, and one about a week later for those who didn't pre-purchase it. Obviously both are still set to go live before the game is actually released.

Steam lacks a pre-purchase at this time.

I really hope the Demo where the people didn't preorder it is released on Halloween. Give me and my brother something to do that night
