Halo 3: ODST Review Embargo Lifted

The embargo set in place for Halo 3: ODST reviews has just lifted and scores are starting to pour in from all over. We'll list a few quick reviews that we've noticed and you're more than welcome to post others you've seen.
N4G - 9.3/10 - "It may not be something entirely revolutionary when it comes to gaming entertainment but for us Halo 3: ODST is the best game (and most complete) in the long-lived series, hands-down."

Giant Bomb - 4/5 Stars - "Halo 3: ODST fills in a few interesting spots in the Halo timeline, even if the characters themselves aren't strong enough to carry the narrative. But it strikes a healthy balance between new twists and more content done in Bungie's trademark style. The more important thing is that if you've enjoyed playing Bungie's Halo games in the past, chances are you'll continue to enjoy that style in ODST."

    IGN - 9.0/10

    Eurogamer - 8/10

*sigh* Another game ruined by overly generous reviews... why can't the reviewers look beyond the hype, shin case and the name ''Halo''?
How am I supposed to know if it's really a good game if they can't do that? I'm just going to wait for the independent reviews and see what they give ODST, at least they can be more accurate than those big company reviewers.

I really really wonder what ratings ODST would get if it weren't for the ''Halo'' in it's title.

Wait for TGN's review, you can be safe in the knowledge that we won't dress it up if it's really bad!

Although, to be fair, it could just be a really, really good game hence the scores!

you forget that in the eyes of the reviewers, and their lovely give me money for high marks mentality, anything below 90 is considered bad

another game I can thankfully not touch even with a 500 mile long pole

So, reviewers supposedly buy into the hype and you ignore the consistantly high marks the game received. Which, in turn, doesn't that mean those who say "oh, it's just another Halo game, it must suck" are buying into the Halo hate bandwagon?

Honestly, the Halo series is full of great games. Without having played ODST, I don't see how you can say that it doesn't deserve those scores and that the reviewers are cracked
