Put jets and controllable warships back in!!!

Im alrite with their desiscion to omit jets, and I dont think warships belong in modern war. War at sea is now done with subs and aircraft carriers.

didn't realize console BF games had no location based damage. they really did dumb it down for consoles. :laugh:

Now it's: customizable vehicles

Why not just take the big leap, and make a Battlefield MMO? Isn't MMO:s "all the rage" these days? Surely DICE, being funded and supported by EA would be able to afford developing a Battlefield MMO.

Would be quite an impressive feat to have a Battlefield title where hundreds if not thousands of players can play together on the Battlefield, in an all out "PvP" setting. Where you level/advance by killing the enemy, and a loss of life requires a short duration "respawn" followed by a slowed XP increase for x minutes.

Could become interesting...

I've been saying this for years now. Does anyone remember Planetside? It was a great MMOFPS. I can see the BF series doing it a lot better.

I think vehicle upgrades is a good idea, along with weapon customization.

It's a lot of decision making though, and I know from experience if you make the wrong decision you are stuck with it. I chose the wrong (for me) unlocks at 20,000 points and had to wait TWO YEARS to put it right.

I hope that any upgrades/customization that a player chooses will be selectable at the start of a round/when joining a server. I'd hate to think I'd chose a smoke grenade for my tank when everyone around has got twice the armour on theirs and there is feck all I can do about.

So there you are, tank vs tank battle, you've hit him twice, he missed once. You are just lining him up for a kill... and then he swaps the driver and you lose!!!

i hope this means we'll get the ability to lock the doors to the vehicles if we don't want anybody getting in.

i hate when i'm APC mortar spamming by myself and some idiot getting in the driver's seat and driving us away.

So we got news for this game aways a day after the CoD6 news came out.

But I migt say that BC2 has a general feeling better than CoD6 right now, hope it gameplay dont mix with Quake like BF2 did.

that would be cool.

but my ultimate custom tank would deploy claymores from the back to deal with sneaky C4 bastards and have a defib attached to the underbelly to automatically revive any teammates i run over.
