My buddies and I had fun fighting in a squad again. The teamwork was refreshing.

It felt just like old times... when I got credit for TKing an entire squad when I shot a Jihad Jeep on his way to Allah. The game is definitely more enjoyable if you can learn to not take the scoring seriously. :laugh:

did something change with sprint? it feels like i'm sprinting faster. maybe just overall everything is smoother. but performance is good. maybe its because there's not many people online yet.

Battlefield 2 uses zoom to get the FOV for widescreen resolutions so it looks faster with less zoom.

maybe now i start playing again...what would be the best way to install it again?
Bf2->1.41->special forces(as i remember i had to install a newer patch by hand first, simply stupid)->1.41->1.50?

As expected I have more unmodified content errors (BF2 can use more memory then before and loads maps now even quicker on my rig), normally I alt-tab out when a new map is loading to give the server some more time to load the map before I continue loading (loading stops when you tab out) But now this fix don't work any more because alt-tabbing back in gives me a full black screen...

Are there some more tricks / fixes for the unmodified content error? I did see a link on a EA forum to http://forums.totalbf2.com/showthread.php?t=18235 but the link is dead...

New 1.5 patch shuts down game everytime I try to play a new map on multiplayer, does fine single player....whats up, somebody help!!!!!!

It works this way. Don't know why I had in mind that I had to patch before applying SF.

Anyone else getting REALLY bad ping on every server they try, maybe its just my ISP punishing me for using bittorent to download the patch last night.

I was most disappointed as well to find that ALT+TAB no longer works as long as anti aliasing is turned on. It used to work perfectly fine in 1.41, and alot of times you NEED to be able to alt tab in and out. What happens if you're on skype or something, talking to friends who are also playing, and the call drops? You all have to crash your game to recall and accept the incoming call. What if something interrupts the game and minimizes to desktop? Or in my case, I have to alt tab out of the game because for some reason my Logitech G5 DPI settings need to be reapplied every time I load BF2, so basically, in order to play correctly with my mouse, I have to alt tab every time.

I really hope EA fixes this for us. I'm really glad the patch came out and it is grate but it has this one seemingly small but MAJOR flaw. Alt tab is a necessity, and should be doable with anti aliasing enabled. I tried the newest NVidia drivers just last night, tried tweaking some stuff, but nothing worked. A hotfix for whatever was done that broke alt tab would be great. Please PLEASE fix it EA!!

They are only available on AA/EF maps.:thumbsup:

sick i got my rank back finally! AA EF maps are sick, fallin in love with bf2 again, this is freaking amazing
