Re: Battlefield 1943 Suffering From Technical Problems

as I remember BF2 had the same problem with not enough servers at launch. The problem is most companies just don't get them up and running in time. I would say by weeks end everything should be sorted.

Did the same thing not happen with Heroes – server issues as soon as the Open Beta was announced?

Yes - nothing extreme, but a lot of people had some very long waiting times when searching for servers and logging into your account. And a couple of random bugs in the system. But it's fixed now for the most part. :)

I went to my brother's to play it this morning at 9am and we spent the whole day trying to get on a server. We still haven't played.

            This is not a suprise
every battlefield game released to date has had master server problems on release
the latest 2142 and bad company also
            had this problem
they fix it by adding more servers everytime
but you'd think they would have fought on by now
proprs to Gordon van dyke 34 hours no sleep and 3 hours the day before
props I know the feelng all too well
with in a week all should be fixed like always

What's an EA game without a poorly planned launch?

Nobody expected this, I mean EA Dice have such a spotless record when it comes to past Battlefield games going off without a hitch.

I mean this is part of the tradition to BF games, guess the are fully initiating console gamers now.

At least it gives them something to do.

This is exactly what happened at the BF2 launch, not enough servers.

Re: Battlefield 1943 Suffering From Technical Problems

It isn't usually so much the lack of hardware, more that there aren't enough or effective enough load balancers. That is why you may have a running server, but they are laggy and stats take time to update etc...

Whilst more servers will help with quantity, it's usually tuning those load balancers that will prove to reduce lag in game which has always been an issue with newly released BF games.
