We played the map in our tournament and it was horrible. Its a completely one sided map.

@ Dronetek: In beta 2 of 1.50, I believe changes were made to Operation Blue Pearl for all map sizes. In 64 & 32 versions the beach/coastal flag is now neutral among other changes, and 16 player version is built for Infantry Only. Not sure if any other changes will exist in Beta 3 or in the Final Patch

also patch 1.41 is mandatory for patch 1.50, meaning that when Patch 1.50 finally comes out, every server will have both HighWay Tampa and Operation Blue Pearl. Therefore you can have those 2 maps in your server map rotation without having players kicked from the server.

If your not playing BF2, why post here ? Your already not playing it, so this patch isnt for you, if your not gonna play, dont complain about it.

I stopped playing vanilla BF2 ages ago, but still love playing mods like DCONX and AIX. I'll be elated just to get in-game widescreen support (without having to screw around with shortcut parameters), fixed hit boxes, and hopefully the ability to play WITHOUT the DVD or hard-drive ISO. The screwy hit boxes in 1.41 make the infantry combat unbearable - the mod devs can only do so much to work around an issue with the game engine.

I never much cared for vanilla BF2.

The big question is how long will it take, after they finally release the 1.5 patch for BF2, to release the 2142 patch.
