Most of the things said around here dont hold much weight.

If you judge something from a stat then you miss the whole point of having fun in a game.

Oh ya, when I play I count the other players to see how many there are.

If you think that you know 24 isnt enough, then your wrong.
I see just as much action in BC as I did in 42... especially in DC

Granted unlimited ammo and such sucks... but most people die before they run out anyway LOL

Its laughable how bad some Dice addicts need a new game but how unwilling they are to spend afew pennies to give something new a try... and support the team that will give them the best chance for it because no other dev team even tries to be this good.

Its called a quick buck, why do things fully when you can just half *** it and have people still eat it up like its actually a full game. They did the same no iron sights thing with Bad company and it pissed me off to no end, almost every other class in that game was able to aim down the sights, but for some reason, we cant do that with smgs.

You cant do it with smg's because they wanted it to be close range and fired from the hip...

So you actually have the more "classes" that everyone screams for.

SMG is the run and gun spray and pray class.. or so it makes common sense.

I can't believe what you guys are saying. So much negativity. This game is intended for a broader audience, its not a full game so your not going to get everything you would like. Its not supposed to be as good as bf2 or 1942. It a game where you pick it up and have fun. Its for ppl who don't want to spend hours and hours getting used to a difficult game. You guys do not understand that, get over it. If you don't like then don't post. Try it first then say something. It pisses me off. They clearly say these things and you guys ignore them. The next hardcore PC title will come and we will see more games like that coming after these games are released! Its business, deal with it.

Well, I can say that I am looking forward to seeing more. This video looks even more polished than the other released ones. Looks a lot less cartoony and a bit exciting.

                QFT.

This isn't for those self proclaimed "hardcore fans", it's for the majority market. There are more casual gamers than "hardcore gamers", therefore it's their demands that come first and generate the most profit.

That's part of it. The other point they were trying to get across in another interview or vid I saw (I can't remember which off the top of my head) is that 1943 is a bit of an experiment for them. It's getting Frostbite running on a PC. It's playing around with different game mechanics, weapons, the ammo/health thing. It's a bit bigger than a demo, but significantly smaller than a full game. That's another reason why it will be priced lower, and download-only, saving a lot of distributing costs.

It's not meant to be a sequel to BF1942, nor replace BF2. It's a trial of some new stuff, and a bit of a filler until BF:BC2 comes out, for those who are dying to play something new.

People are entitled to not like that idea. Others might be excited to try it. It might work well, it might not. But as others have said, the constant negativity in the BF forum is really getting tiresome. Do some of you really feel better about yourselves if you can say "I hate this" over and over again, and start arguments with others?

If it's not for you, fine. If you want to say so, fine. But then ignore the rest of the news on it and move on, instead of bashing it over and over again in multiple threads. That's pointless, and just keeps ticking people off.

It looks really, really good, but it also looks really, really small.

I understand very well who these games are made for. But Dice could of made a true sequel to BF1942 and perfected that game instead of giving us the mediocrity of BC and BFH.

Player movement/physics in this game looks horrible.

The amount of negative posts here makes me sad.

But the Battlefield theme in the trailer cheered me up.

That's really a half-arsed reason, I'm sorry to say. It would make sense if all the guns had sights or none of the guns (except sniper of course) had sights, but to have some with and some without just makes no sense to me. The SMGs in BF2 had ironsights, the SMGs in BF2142 had ironsights, even in older games like MoH:PA, COD, and VietCong the SMGs had ironsights. It just boggles the mind, really. :hmm:

in the same boat as you. I don't know what the problems is either. The game looks like it will be a lot of fun. Those that do not play will miss out for sure.
