And mice obviously don't have just "one speed only." Move your hand faster, the mouse moves more quickly.

There is an episode of Boondocks that explains the consoles' proliferation...
Let's just say: people on consoles type with their thumbs and never have anything to print...

The thing is, Dice aren't saying that console gamers deserve respect, just that they can get more money out of them. So of course they're jumping ship.

The thing I like about PC gaming in general is the level of customization you have. Not happy with the field of view you have? Change it. Think all the hud icons are only annoying? Disable them.

I quoted your post and responded to it. Nothing else what I can see.

        I still disagree.
I think I can move well enough in any Level game environment to be competitive.

I dont like customization, I take things for what they are and like to know its the same for everyone.

Just quoting a post without a clear understanding of what ones trying to say doesnt justify accusations unwarranted.

And you have the right to disagree. Im glad you do..

If I sound heated its because I cant come here to look for updates and info on 1943, the biggest game on my fanboy wishlist. Without reading thru abunch of whining and PC fanboy HATE mail.

That proves you need to work on reading comprehension.

What they said was, they under estimated what features console gamers would prefer.

So you do agree then that console gamers have more money to spend because they saved so much on their hardware.

Ill let you in on another thing. Nobody earns respect, your grand daddy was wrong. Everyone and everything deserves respect until they give you a reason to take it away.

What have console gamers done to you but steal all your DEV's?

on second thought, yeah keep hate'n

Geez man... Your Life seems to revolve around Dice.. Go buy a motorcycle or something.

I like this guy, he is the only one so far on this forum that actually has his head screwed on!!!!

I was a "hardcore" PC gamer for 7 years and have been playing BF since 1942 through to 2142.
I was put in a position a year ago where I was unable to use my PC anymore and I tossed around with the ideaa of getting a 360 for a while.

Let me tell you, it was the best damn decision I have made in s long time!
Yeah it has no keyboard/mouse but when you get to grips with the controller it fn kicks ***!
How better to play my fav games than to lay on my bed pwning on my 37" Plasma tv?

I mean seriously how much would it cost me for a video card and LCD monitor to run at that resolution????

People that are to ignorant to even attempt to try a console should not bash those of us that do! It just shows your maturity level and the fact that you can't see any further than the boil on the end of your nose!

Consoles are the way forward, deal with it.
The day's of over priced hardware will soon be over :yay::yay:

Oh and if PC gamin is so much better than what us "Console zombie , fanboy's" play then tell me..... can a console game code be exploited and manipulated to create hacks?

          Short answer.....NO
Other than the odd rapid fire controller us "fan boys" have no fear of being radar hacked or wall hacked now do we?

Wake up and smell the coffee..... Punk buster sucks ball sack :)

Probably less than a 37" plasma TV.

I doubt people will ever stop buying "overpriced" hardware, since many see it as a hobby. They enjoy tweaking and overclocking just like a car enthusiast enjoys tinkering on his cars.

Yes. Hell, people get IP flooded in Halo 3 so somebody else can gain host. I've never been DoSed from playing a PC game. This is a weak argument anyway; far less than 1% of the servers I join for any PC game contain a hacker or glitcher. If there's an admin he will get banned, if not you can leave the server and find another in a matter of seconds.

If you want to attack PC gaming, I would suggest going for the "technical difficulty" approach, since it hurts both developers and gamers.

You should find a copy of CPU Feb, Read the article by the guy who founded Voodoo.. The gaming PC as we know it is Doomed

Here it is in short, AMD, Intel, Apple, They are all hurting at the bottom line.. Their seeking ways to change the way forward..

Just so you know, Computers have hit a limit, The limit on how fast they can process info.

Just like gravity and the limit of how fast a car can go.. Power to weight ratio's and the likes..

Computers have hit the same wall.. Thats why you are seeing multi cores
Its like putting 2 engines on a drag car.. sure it helps but not by much..

Very few are going to spend what it takes to Peak out gaming..
So its not plausible to continue down thos roads.

So your argument is as follows: In the long run it will not be profitable for companies to produce "gaming PC" hardware, so they won't. Consequently, building a custom PC for gaming will not be possible. Without people that own PCs built for gaming, developers lose the PC market; the PC gaming market dies.

I'm not even sure the first premise is true. To continue the car analogy, it is still profitable to produce aftermarket exhaust systems. Even though they provide a quite marginal increase in performance for the price, somebody out there is selling them, and somebody is buying.

Re: DICE: We Learned Valuable Lessons from Bad Company Release

Sort of, Now Im only repeating what I read for the most part..

I doubt the PC market will disappear. As do "they"..

What I gather from it is that it will get even more costly to buy and keep a gaming pc in tops.

So most developers will follow The manufacturers and their efforts to streamline gaming. As we are already seeing.. but we are not seeing any benefits just yet.. because it is the beginning. May never see benefits..
                  But might..

To continue down the car analogy, Take Formula 1

Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and technical development, = PC gaming.

Nascar is cost effective and generates alot of capital. = Console / Dedicated gaming machines

F1 is struggling to keep costs down..

Bring some Formula 1 techs and scientists over to Nascar and try to get the most out of the hardware. Keep costs lower than the traditional gaming PC but above the price consoles have sold for in the past.
Focus on reducing software overhead and squeezing every last drop from the hardware.

Yes it does leave the shade tree mechanic out in the cold

But I believe thats the route the industry is headed in..

Hopefully we will still see game development moving forward..

As sad as it is, I think we are already seeing the PC game market gasp for air..

Its one reason I bought a console, So I could find out first hand what Xbox live and the 360 was all about.
IMO, its not bad for the first console to really be based around multiplayer gaming.

I think that's why people are freaking out - basically McLaren saying "F1 is outdated, we're moving to NASCAR where the real money is". Plus they feel insulted by Mr. Gustavsson's comments.

DICE could have done a better job of this (like Valve or IW).

Re: DICE: We Learned Valuable Lessons from Bad Company Release

                      Well, I dont mean Dice..

I mean the people that make the hardware..

Dice is only testing the waters because they know it would be suicide not to.

Besides once Ross gets ahold of nascar it would never be the same again..
Trust me, you'd have to rename it completely.
