Ignorance is bliss, hope your right. Bet you're wrong until hearing official BF3 talk

Think I'm looking for Epic stuff, PC only tackle. Kinda like thinking, wow,.. I gonna upgrade my PC for this shiz.

i agree with the blind guy.

DICE can make console games. Go for it.

Just make sure that you it doesn't interfere with what we've fallen in love with.

Re: DICE: We Learned Valuable Lessons from Bad Company Release

I love how the superior being Lars basically tells the "console" gamers they designed a dumbed down game for them because you know people who buy $300+ dollar game systems are to stupid and not hardcore enough to play regular BF games. Oh and in the same fail swoop he insinuates "PC" gamers are no longer relevant and a bunch of has beens.

Lars/DICE you are really full of yourself.

If only you would listen to your customers and stop thinking your so superior, it's a bad business model.

                what he should have said

                You should have just said

"we failed again because we published another basic video game to a sophisticated gaming crowd."

i believe its time to realize that EA and DICE are not for the battlefield community.. we must remember ea and dice are not a requirement for us..

we simply asked for a few things, that any modern company, the leaders of which played your video games as kids, since you waited so long; all asked for
a battlefield game which delivered an MMO-FPS platform, with world servers and enough content and players online to interact in more scenarios then the small scale battlefields we are used to. we have asked for planetside in bf2 skins, for the additions of simple things like skydiving and fun modes. for some sophistication and variety in different game modes.

times have changed and so has the community.

saying that most people dont play is a joke, you havnt given anything worth playing for years.

make a 100$ game instead of a 10 dollar game..

charge me monthly for crying out loud.. but atleast give me something to do in game..

give me wicked firefights, with player piloted air strikes and sophisticated reality of war..

GIVE ME MORE CONTENT, SPACE AND PEOPLE

ea is kind of done in our eyes

some companies, soon, the kids in those companies played the battlefield series and know what they want..and will deliver soon enough...

i do think its funny how everyone was like

"IM WAITING TO BUILD A NEW CPU WHEN BF3 COMES OUT"

then they wait forever and nothing comes out..

                whatever

seriously, this alone will make 97% of pc players forget thye wont be getting much love in the future. its being done before! (UT3 on PS3). everyone just HATES playing on a stupid pad. fps are just not meant to be played with that crap

I can translate for you what he said, here in a nutshell:

CONSOLE GAMERS ARE WISER THAN EXPECTED, WHEREAS PC GAMERS HAS CHANGED FROM HARDCORE TO A SMALL BUNCH OF OLD FARTS, SO SAY GOODBYE TO PC BATTLEFIELD!

The bottom line is, there trying to cash in on the console market (like pretty much every other major developer that has sense in them) because thats where the money is these days, and a PC-only title just doesnt cut it anymore, or wont do for much longer.

But as stated, it 'hopefully' wont effect the the community too badly, and DICE will always have a place for us..... (in the recycle bin  j/k).

I have been a BF player (since the early days of 1942) however after that statement from Lars Gustavsson, I have decided to move on.

Call of Duty has intrigued me for a while. My question is, if I pick up Modern Warfare (2 ??), will I be able to jump in and play or is the learning curve/game play so high, I would have to start over?

So, the previous interviews that hinted towards a more 'pc' diven game (i.e BF3) was just a bunch of lies? Oh well, there are plenty of other games out there.

If any of you old farts knew anything about PC hardware and where its headed, you would know that making games for it doesnt make sense..

Funny how some cry about the cost of xbox live, I just payed 29.99 for 13 months, you do the math. But your willing to spend thousands on PC hardware.. Or suffer from poor game performance..
Cant afford DLC? Jeeez so what is it? Got money or have to borrow from Mommy?

Gaming is the cheapest for of entertainment on the planet..
Go watch TV if you can afford that.. theres getting your moneys worth.

You just cant teach some old dogs new tricks..

Everyones crying here, but every genre has suffered, get on with it.
