Honestly that just makes them sound like they think a console shooter is the same as a PC shooter

Re: DICE: We Learned Valuable Lessons from Bad Company Release

Lets see, PC shooters must be designed to take into account the speed and precession of mice, while consoles must take into account the lack of speed/response and precession of the analog stick. People on PC play with insane sensitivity settings, because they can get away with it, consoles, well good luck.

I got back into first person shooters with the console release of the first Star Wars Battlefront (had been playing the GTAIII series on the PS3 for some time). It was fun and it was challenging (online, had to change the control scheme completely though), then I got it for the PC, talk about night and day (glory be the mouse). I was getting kills with the sniper rifle I could only dream of on the console.

What were you doing? counting how many kills per sec you could get?

That makes no sense except the fact that "You" couldnt get kills with a controller.

A controller does have sensitivity settings and it is harder to aim with than a mouse.. Takes more skill to perfect and time to do it.

A mouse moves one speed only, its how far you move it that dictates how far it moves.

An analogue control or joystick as multiple places of position that move the cursor different speeds depending on how much pressure is applied.

The game code has the overall say, and thats different for every game.

Dunno... They will just keep screwing with those that want BF3 like myself untill the day they announce the next "huge" battlefield game.

Battlefield: Hello Kitty, a free to play Pc only game based on Battlefield heros.

If you you take me to believe a controller is superior in aim, its not.
They are equal. But for movement a controller is by far the better hardware.

LOL yes it does, try it.. it moves at the exact same rate as you move your hand. You misunderstand my point.
That ultimately being that its a level playing field.
If you cant grasp a controller with any skill, thats not the controllers fault. So stop whining.

To bad you cant go play BF3, I know your here looking for some glimpse of hope its announced soon.

BTW your very observant .. Ive never played a PC game..
Avatars like mine are all over the web.. Its nothing but a unique screenshot of DC.

                        *chokes*

A controller is not "superior" in any way compared to a mouse and keyboard, other than pure preference. I don't mean to trash down on consoles or controllers, but they are severely gimped compared to mouse and keyboard. The only advantage they might have are in racing games, but that depends on the game as well.

Ever played Quake, Painkiller or another game with strafe jumping? None of that is possible on a console.

Are you trying to say I cant jump and strafe at the same time with a controller? I can do that even if jump is mapped to X Y A B

To Race you need a steering wheel.

I didnt say movement was "superior", because adjusting your rate of speed easily and on the fly doesnt really give an advantage. Its not superior as in it would win you a match in most shooters. Because slow usually doesnt help with that.. unless your a sniper.

I know your only 16 im not trying to bust on you.. but if everyone playing has the same gear. The playing field is what we call LEVEL.
Admin or not, you should read what I type and not make stuff up while skimming.

I said it was "better for movement" thats generally. Doesnt mean its perfected yet.

BTW yeah im a fan of DICE and a fan of any gaming machine that costs less and has the latest releases. Boy because I choose to be.

Simo Glock- are you mentally challenged?

you ever hear of DPI? hmm yeah these so called gaming mice have this on the fly switch for DPI. guess this DPI adjustment switches do nothing.

                            ..........

o wait. yeah it makes the mouse speed move more with less movement. hence faster...

Yes... but you can't do anything as advanced, or as accurately with a controller as you could with mouse and keyboard.

I know your only 16 im not trying to bust on you.. but if everyone playing has the same gear. The playing field is what we call LEVEL.
The thing I like about PC gaming in general is the level of customization you have. Not happy with the field of view you have? Change it. Think all the hud icons are only annoying? Disable them.

                              I still disagree.

LOL, so you still think im saying a controller guy could beat a mouse guy head to head?

Funny how you grab onto what you can and run with it.

I know, my attitude makes you want to prove me wrong.

You can make the mouse move any rate you want, sensitivity + how fast you roll the ball or move the laser beam with your hand.

Again ill say IM NOT TALKING ABOUT A MOUSE!

It's a moot point really because thats way off the topic of Dice starting to understand that kids who game on the 360 deserve the same respect as any other gamer... Which most of you here havent learned yet.
