Now, THIS is a really really good news, I hated how patches would split up the community and, hence, available servers, a new patch would be released, some people would update, some would stay and you'd get less servers and players either way.

Now, everyone will update automatically, so maximum number of servers/players will be available all the time.

I strongly suggest you don't get your hopes up about this until we hear a lot more about it. I have a feeling that this is likely a Console-only thing - for them to quickly push out quick updates without going through the whole messy process of an "official" patch with Microsoft and Sony.

It could possibly be for PC as well, but until we hear so specifically, I wouldn't expect it to happen. I hope that it does, but it seems unlikely, IMO.

I hope I'm wrong. :)

^ I agree with that. Auto patching PCs is not an easy feat. Steam probably does it best and even they get it wrong now and again.
