My feedback to that is that DICE can lick my right nut...

How the hell is dolphin diving considered a good/fun part of the game? I can't believe they changed this back... While I'm at it, Dolphin Divers can lick my left nut :p

Couldnt agree more the 'leet' players win again. I enjoyed playing with no numpty dolphin diving cr*p about and now they have put it back in :shakehead: Time to tune up the n00b tube :evil:

I look forward to the changes to the map hopefully it will give the US a fighting chance without tipping the balance to far there way.

I'm glad that the amount of grenades, their distance thrown, splash damage and reload quantities hasn't been reduced. Grenade spam is not a problem from a truely tactical gameplay perspective. Narrow routes can be effectively denied to the enemy while teammates flank and bag. Only those who don't adapt tactically and continue with simple gameplay will continue to run into these death zones and whine about it on the forums.

If anything, the Assault class should have three smoke grenades. The single smoke grenade in 1.41 lasts too short a time and isn't thick enough to mask any operation to be truely effective. If the improvements to Assault were made I'm sure the class will have much more value to a teamplaying squad.

Tampa's jets are not a problem. They're fighters not bombers. There is no insta-kill. Fighters carry two dumb bombs, and it takes more than two direct hits most times take take out a tank. And the jet usually has to make multiple passes to damage you (even if he uses the cannon). Allowing you to jump out and repair, then manuvre the tank to continuosly dodge direct hits until the jet goes away.

Like so many issues some BF2 gamers have, all can be solved in-game with effective tactical play. Simplying everything reduces the exhiliration of dealing with a challenge.

The same can be said for the AA sites. 1.41 is just fine. It is really easy to damage, and shoot down (if you're patient enough and wait for the ideal moment to use it) enemy aircraft. The only problem was with the J10 manuvering and evading missiles simply. Just locking on an aircraft and firing away is a poor way to take out anything, not to mention giving away your position. Aircraft flightpath, flare deployment, pilot panic and terrain all come into play.

Dolphin diving. Personally I don't have a problem with players who dive and fire, they are easily dealt with because they're immobile and easy targets. But I also agree with most that the transition times between stances shouldn't be reduced.

Does anyone think it is worth while to play this one.

As im going to install another bf2 and have both 1.41 version and 1.50 b2 running if people think its worth it.

Players cannot shoot whilst in the air whilst dolphin diving. Yet this still isnt enough?? lol.

Dolphin divers are easy to counter. It is only so effective because of bad hitboxes. Now this is being fixed, the dolphin dive will be far less effective.

And be thankful bf2 gets a patch please.

How are you suppose to use the mouse wheel stuff, I tried to no avail. First, of I couldn't scroll thru my inventory and secondly I couldn't assign it to the parachute. I could assign is to acceleration and deceleration, but it didn't do anything special.

not really, there will most likely be a 1.50 b3 as there are many bugs that have popped up already that should have been fixed.

if you do want to try it, make sure you copy your BF2 install folder so you can go back to 1.41 if you want to.

Crap.

I downloaded the patch, was about to install. It was just about to start efter "next next next", then I arborted imidently! Had to back-up my localization files first, heh. Not gonna do same screw up twice.

Localization files backed up, restart to patch..

"You allready have a newer version installed!" F*CK! What to do ? The setup/patch was only started 0,5 sec! Any suggestions? :o

Ph1l, make sure you have installed 1.41 first.

People who are shouting that they should move there development efforts to BF3: Please. There are 2 people working at this patch. Be glad that they still support this game.

Oh, i'm loving the new way of installing. Finally got rid of RTpatch.
