They only targeted certain hacks I believe. There are some such as aimbots that they simply can't do anything about as they hook and manipulate code going into the memory. That is why every FPS has a aimbot.

They wanted to tighten up vehicle drops, stats and PID/GUID spoofing iirc.

The Good Times:

Did notice some HitBox's seemed to be where they should be, meaning not Behind or Next to.

The BADD Times:

*Took about 15 attempts to join some servers.
*Only 5 mins of play and got a Blue Screen-O-Death reboot.
*BF2 Install all FUBARed after that, meaning couldnt revert back to v1.41.
*While tryin to reinstall BF2 from Complete Collection DVD she crashes w/ Blue Screen-O-Death 3 times when installing patch v1.1.
*Had to install manually from exploring the BF2 DVD per .exe.
*Yeah ahd I found two confirmed major HACKERS will playing for a short while.

Im avoiding 1.5 its a big fail,just the word beta in a last patch means they give up

we all know this is the last patch ever and the word beta means its still under development,ive seen beta final patches before and usually it means the code was so sloppy it not fully repairable

The Favorite servers list still has the bug, if you Refresh the servers disappear.

I hate the favorites refresh bug.

I tried the beta on Vista and couldn't join servers most of the time. I went to the Firewall and unchecked BF2>Apply then re-checked BF2>Apply and I could get in servers every time after that.

are you serious? you need dolphin diving to shoot somebody or you won't play bf2?

Come on bro, surely you have enough skill that you don't need to jump around like a fat whale to kill people in the game,
or to simply enjoy bf2.

Did you even read my post? Really? What in God's name are you talking about because I have no ****ing idea.

My whole post was about how the only way to distinguish good players from people who play once a month in BF2 is how they move. ANYONE with a MINUSCULE amount of FPS experience can shoot as well in BF2 as someone who has played for months. Not to mention the fact that how well you shoot is based on your server connection most of the times anyways.

Bull$hit? *NOTE* After reading your post, this video could possibly blow your mind, so use caution. [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmKJwRnmd1U[/media] Check out all of the before sections of the video. Oh hey, dust, awesome! Granted there are a few good servers out there that have awesome reg and almost everything hits with very little dust shots, but damn, that's the bare standard for every other FPS game out there.

Which leads me back to my main point, movement raises the skill ceiling for infantry in BF2 out of the basement to at least tolerable and by slowing it down you are removing an entire competitive aspect from the game.

Unless, this is all just an attempt to do exactly that, in which case it appears the noobs have apparently won over the developers.

Reinstalling 1.41 right now, no thank you on the beta. I like the improved hit reg and widescreen res and AA, but everything else... Not so much
