New Operation Flashpoint 2 Footage

New footage for Codemasters' Operation Flashpoint 2, officially called Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, has made its way onto the internet this past weekend. The footage is from a European gaming program, GameStar TV.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is slated to be released at some point during the Summer of 2009 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

I think this game is console aimed, compared to ArmAII, which has both the graphics and the realism. Rather than just nice graphics (OF2).

It's hard to say anything about the game yet. Because the footage in the video isn't that much...

So untill i get some more footage, this game goes to the watch list, and not to the pre-order list... :)

Anything can happen, of course, but reading that article, thinking that game will be aimed at Consoles is a bit of a stretch, IMO. However, I could see certain things being simplified a bit to appeal toward a wider audience (ie. not just PC). At the same time, that simplification could be done only on Consoles, leaving PC as complex as before (in default mode, not counting the "arcade" mode some have talked about).

Not enough info yet to be worried about it, IMO.
