Nah, I think well still get the Gordon freeman treatment in this game. I think its better if your character doesn't talk, it just doesn't sound right and is implemented horribly in 99% of games.

I had reported back a couple months ago about the first voice actor, the guy from Resident Evil and Heroes...Ken Lally or something like that who actually confirmed for everyone there was definitely going to be a Modern Warfare 2 when he announced he was doing voice work for it.

no i was talking about soap being a non-playable character, would be interesting to see him talk

I don't recall anything official, but if I had to guess, I'm fairly certain it will be the same base engine as COD4 used. That engine had been reworked a fair bit for that game, and it's only been 2 yrs, so I doubt they'd discard it yet. COD4 worked pretty well and was so successful..."if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

If they keep on a 2 year cycle, maybe by MW3 they'd go with a new one, depending on what new features they may want in that game that the current engine might not be able to handle.

COD4 style looks good today in CODWaW, I don't see any reason to change it. As long as its not just a DLC under MW2.

Yeah, but I wouldnt be surprised if they made the timeframe. With the way they are hopping the CoDs, its giving the developers a lot of time to work on the next one. I'm sure there is a lot to do, but I bet they are not burning it all down and starting over. They have a lot to work with.
