Only "bad" thing in Bad Company was the fact it was made for console platform and as we know console gaming has its control, player, gameplay limits. :nod:

Otherwise it's great consept and game. I hope they don't just port console version of BC2 to PC, which basically means that the game is ****ed up experience for PC gamers. :dead:

one of the things i hate the most these days are bad console ports, bad graphics optimization, bad controls, simplified gameplay, and what i hate the most when playing a PC game ported from a console is going to the control settings and see a freakin x-box controller instead of a keyboard and mouse, MAN that freakes me out!

I don't think this is going to be a decent BF pc game, porbably just a very bad console port with 24 players.

I don't think DICE want to make a PC version, when they can just port it over from the consloes at a lot cheaper rate.:cry:

I disagree. I am guessing that DICE really wants to make an epic BF game for the PC.

But EA (who owns them - literally) won't let them because the suits think there is more money elsewhere.

I don't believe there has been anymore official info, but my guess would be that it consists of mostly cut-scenes with quick-cut gameplay shoehorned in to get us all excited.

I hope that people at least try to keep an open mind and give it a chance.

I think the concensus is that BF2 was a very good game for the most part, and that the ideal successor (ie. BF3) would have the same type of gameplay, size, and framework, but with even more features and refinement. It's clear that this won't be the BF3 that most are hoping for, but it still might be a worthwhile, fun game in the meantime.

Who knows, perhaps a "true" BF3 is in the works somewhere deep under wraps, but is taking longer than expected or hoped for. Having at least something to play in the interim isn't a bad idea.

To me it seems that BF2 was such a huge success that not having a proper BF3 eventually doesn't make much sense. But, because Consoles can't handle those player numbers/server sizes, the PC version of BF3 would have to be quite different or even a stand-alone title. In this economy, and current business model of being more efficient by creating PC/Console titles together, this would be a significant step out of the box, which makes the EA execs nervous. It might be a matter of more time, or even finding a (good) 3rd party developer to take on the project at a reasonable price. This is a business after all, so it has to make sense from a profit perspective for them to create such a game just for PC. I still think it will happen, but it might still be quite a while away before the conditions are more favourable.

I agree with you whiskey. I am definitely excited for BC2, it being on PS3/X360 and even more for it to be on PC this time around. The original BC was a strong motivating factor in me buying a PS3 and I feel the game was very enjoyable. I'm also happy that it will be available on PC so that my brother and I can play together again like we have with BF2 and 2142. I just couldn't quite convince him to buy a PS3 to play BC and I don't blame him.

That's what I want to know. One thing I hate about trailers for games is that they're usually never actual gameplay. Showing a cinematic (IMO) is no good, because you don't play the cinematic. It's not like a movie....

actually it will probably be in game but will look nothing like it actually will when released. Though this isn't a fault of DICE - games in their early days usually look much better than they do after being optimized.
