Before you start thinking this is BF3 and getting your torches out, remember that this game isn't being developed by DICE
    This isn't the fifth game.

ITT: People jumping to conclusions. :p

      ...

Seriously now, let the Koreans have some fun. This isn't even being developed by DICE.

I don't want them to do a half-arsed Battlefield Online, if they do something like this they should do it right. We have always complained about support, content and service; cool, then we should pay them to do it right. This free to play model just screams bad idea and the games are based on old engines that are contracted out or ideas that are rip off from other successful games.

Haven't forgotten 1.5, but have still to see it.
THIS  --- You got it. :salute:

It is. I don't have the article right here, but DICE put out an announcement with the 5 listed. The "Korean game" was one of the 5.

That was almost a year ago, I'm sure things have changed, BFBC1 is over and no doubt replaced by something else. They are a company and they are owned by EA.

And don't forget they keep on saying that they haven't forgotten about us hardcore players. So something is coming, just a matter of when.

they haven't forgotten us doesn't mean anything. they haven't forgotten us because we are expressing our discontent, but it doesn't mean they are working on something. it could just mean they know we exist in the back of their mind.

i think that the battlefield series is dead. i doubt they will release a bf3 or something like a true sequel to bf2. i think dice is just gonna end up making half-*** games since they will still end up getting money. its a shame though. i would have loved to see bf3. i think our only hope is to look elsewhere such as opf2 or arma2.

Re: Battlefield Online Announced in South Korea

I guess it would be classed in dices 5 because even tho it has been developed by neowiz, they are using dice content and have had technical help from dice in some aspects of its creation.

This is actually a test model, ala the ingame advertising in 2142.

Neowiz did the south korean versions of the fifa soccer game and in thier version you can buy content with real money (teams, uniforms, stadiums etc) so this game has been developed as a test in a proven market (the real money tranactions have proven a success in south korea)

basically, instead of unlocks, you can simply buy the weapons for your account, similar to what they plan to do for BF heroes.

BF online = BF test model developed by a company with proven experience in online content transactions.

BF heroes = BF test model developed by dice

It will be interesting to see how it goes for both games. Although there will be an outcry by some, I personally feel that it will prove a financial success and extra content via micro transactions will become the norm just like on xpox.

i agree they are releasing to much small crap on the market. They will be played only for couple of weaks before ppl will drop out of it.Just look at bf2 it is still at top5 moste played games. Realy cant understand why they started sooo much project when just realesing bf3 would make 100x more money than making so many ****ty games. And i agree arma2 will be awsome opf2 not so much they made it manly for the console and will be a port to the pc.

Because perhaps they are working on BF3 but it's not ready to be announced yet.

Just because it's unannounced doesn't mean it won't come, or that they aren't working on a sequal. BF2 made huge sales, you really think they'd leave the franchise at that

No they aren't developing a number 3. Don't use it as an excuse. We all know that they just waste their time making half assed games. Wake up people

                                Americans = Spoiled Idiots

Spoiled Idiots = Have money to waste

Have money to waste = Purchase of **** games like Bad Company and 1943 and so on

Purchase of **** games = EA making money

EA making money = EA not giving a ****

EA is about money. They don't care about us. They don't care about the modding community. They don't care about their own games. It's all about profit and money for them.

They give us **** titles and people are dumb enough to buy them. Hey look I get to play the same 10 missions over and over again. What a FREAKIN joy

Wake up. Stop being *******es. Don't purchase their half assed games.

BF2 could EASILY be the best game out there. (Excluding the morons who are stupid enough to play WoW, COD, CSS) If you revamped it and added more modes like capture the flag, base assault, etc etc and added more guns, more maps, more vehicles and customization, it would be THE best game.

But guess what. They're gonna screw it up. Where's our patch? They can't make the installation script???

                                BULL ****

Everyone needs to realize that EA doesn't care and you guys GOTTA stop buying their crappy games.

In the App Store for iPhones and iPod Touches. Spore (30 levels), Monopoly, Scrabble, Tetris and Sim City have made THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of sales. What is so sad is that games like tetris and monopoly should be free. But unfortunately, people are too dumb to buy them. Funny thing is, EA is the only "developer" that doesn't update their apps ever.

A 30 level version of Spore which you can beat in literally a few hours is 6-8 dollars. Sim ****ty was like 10 or something. Either way, people buy these games from EA.

I have so much to complain about it's not even funny. People are SO !@#!@# stupid these days.
