Nahhh that DICE love to postpone dates to much; iff I may say.

PC version will probably follow a few months after, because of piracy and all.

Yeah; like Gears of Wars! They been so stunned by the success of the tittle into the PC market that has been decided that never going back there.

I'm usually pessimistic when console port games make their way to PC. I got the chance to play Bad Company on 360, and while it was 'consolized' relative to the traditional battlefield games, I was encouraged by the quality of the game itself. As negative as PC gamers are towards BC2 (in spite of no announcement of BF3), EA/DICE can do this correctly if they have any sense or respect for their original fanbase.

If Dice can identify the need to create a 'custom' (in terms of server browser, dedicated server, super-optimized netcode, etc...) version of Bad Company 2 for PC, BC2 could end up being a very successful PC title in my opinion. In order for that to be accomplished though:

They must make the PC game RELEVANT to PC gamers, do NOT give us some half-assed console port that works on 10% of all PCs. If you need to delay the PC version by a month or two in order to get it 'up to the PC gaming standard', by all means, take that time.

Any Pc gamer who thinks this wont be a port to the enth degree is an idiot. Too many times we have heard from EA/Dice, "oh we care about the pc". Bottom line is if they dont say jack about it, it means it sucks, I learned this the hard way with Stillborn.

Unless it has VALVE stamped across it, its a port.

Interesting, this "rumored" Release date is two months before infinity ward drops MW2.

I hope to experience BF3 before BC2 ships. If they push out BF:H and BC2 before then, they're going to have a lot of angry hardcore gamers.

I find it amazing that we've been clamouring for a certain product for years and we keep getting all this other stuff. Sigh.
