Its a console game being ported to PC. You guys seem to think they are making a special version of BC for the PC. This is not the case. Its a PC port of a console game.

No, its not a nightmare. EA has abandoned what made BF great. :shakehead:

Is this a joke? is April's Fools in advanced?

** Pepe gets his Cristal Ball **

Next announcement will be the uber awesome hyper cool BF43 Map Pack with 2 new maps: Coral Sea and Invasion of Philipines for $9.99 available via Steam, EA Downloader and Xblox Live.

DICE is really lossing us.. the once who loved their games before the stupid EA policy of "sell sh*t and make money" was stablished on the studio.

Shame on DICE, Im not going to buy either of this games.. I'll stick playing Forgotten Hope 2 the REAL modern Battlefield WWII game or switch to another "brand".. maybe Armed Assault 2.

yeah i totally see them selling more maps for 1943 pacific. 3 maps is pretty weak, but it leaves them room to release more content via downloads and making $$$$. then they will release the 1943 europe and 1943 africa and do the same thing.

These assumptions are all really lame and unsubstantiated.

First of all, no one ever said BC2 is going to be 24 players. I don't see why people are under this assumption that "console + PC = 24 players on both". Plenty of games are released with greater player slots on PC than console. OFP2 is a perfect example of this. 16 players on console, 32 on PC.

Another assumption that is unfounded at this point in time is that BC2 is a "console port". A console port is a game that is developed for consoles, and at a later date recoded for PC release. An example of this would be GTAIV. A game that is built for all platforms from the ground up, with all platforms in mind during the development is NOT a port.

If people are going to use the logic of "everything that is not PC exclusive will suck", explain why OFP2 looks so awesome? It has large scale battles on gigantic maps, single player campaigns, plenty of vehicles, and an amazing engine. There's no reason that BC2 couldn't achieve the same feat.

At the end of the day, however, I'm just saying the potential is there. Just because BC2 is a sequel to BC doesn't mean the two will be exactly the same. This version of BC is being built with the PC in mind, which will undoubtedly change the dynamics of the game.

Stop downing on a game you know nothing about, and have only seen one screenshot for. I'm not saying you're wrong, because you could be right. But at this point in time there's no basis for your assumptions, and the logic you've used to reach them is appalling.

Bad Company 1 was a console game. Bad Company 2 is a PC/Console game. There have been awesome PC games released on PC and console in the past, and there's no reason BC2 can't live up to the same standard.
